dfwabel
Is it just me or does this whole Sterling saga have TV movie of the week written all over it. Has all the elements, rich guy with young lover who he lavishes with gifts so she'll be his arm candy, a jilted wife at home who goes after said mistress who then goes scorched earth on him and the wife. Maybe we'll see it in six months on Spike or whatever TruTv became.Lifetime, LTM, or Bravo will be all over rights since the Daft Punk mistress will need the $$$. NJTank
They won't. The players are physiologically broken right now.Sterling injured all the players? Its almost like he sabotaged his team on purpose and hates winning. There is no shot they can win this series now, he did break this team. They have to go out and try to win for a man that hates them because of the color of their skin. I asked when this started how can you play for this team after he said something like that. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

The_Admiral
Yeah, billionaires generally don't establish precedents for people to take their stuff away. What I see is some sort of phony-baloney "negotiated leave of absence" where he is no longer on the league's board of governors, can have no say in basketball operations, and can't sit courtside as the public face of ownership. This will be presented as a mutual agreement rather than Silver unilaterally getting out the boomstick because he quite frankly doesn't have the personal capital to do that yet, and the guy who could have done it never did. This will allow everyone to come out as unscathed as possible: Silver does the obvious right thing, Sterling goes away without losing anything of value, and there's no scary display of power that pisses off the other old rich dudes who probably don't like The Blacks any more than Donald does. This was fairly close. Closer than you knuckleheads who thought the team would be dissolved or whatever. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

MadmanLA
I don't even know what to say. I'm grinning from ear to ear right now.Hell, my eyes almost welled up when I heard those three magic words--BANNED FOR LIFE! Still not nearly as good kicking him out of the Association completely, but I'll take a lifetime ban of Sterling. I'm with Commissioner Silver in that he'll be forced to sell the team...its just a matter of time.
Muggens
Fantastic job Mr. Silver. Thank you sir. When the Clippers are eventually sold do you think a new owner should re-brand the team. New name, logo, colors?
