Donald Sterling: Don't Bring Black People to My Games

Did some light googling after finding out Sterling had a girlfriend who looked no older than 30, and this dude has a wife? Like, does anyone else find THAT whole situation very uncomfortable, gross, and dysfunctional? Then you consider the fact that Donald is an awful excuse for a human being and...just, man, c'mon. I can't believe this is happening in 2014. I guess I can't be too surprised though, given his track record.

So, you think that old people are G-R-O-S-S and STINKY and I-C-K-Y and there must be a Constitutional Amendment passed banning them from having sex after the age of 40 and not being allowed to look at anyone born a millisecond after they were.

So Sterling is an old dude fu*cking and getting his dong sucked by some hot piece of ass. Good for him. I applaud him, sh*it i give him a standing ovation. Apparently if you were in charge old people, ie anyone over the age of 40 would be rounded up and locked away so the rest of the world doesn't have to look at the I-C-K-Y G-R-O-S-S ness.

I went out and was banging a 17 year old when I was 30 and it was awesome. I guess according to you that makes me a child molester, right?

But what I'm really curious about is why you are jumping all over Sterling for being a G-R-O-S-S Creepo for dating and banging hot young pieces of ass, yet you say NOTHING about Jerry Buss doing the EXACT SAME THING. Why is that, other than you are a gargantuan hypocrite?

I'm also curious as to why it is G-R-O-S-S that Sterling had a wife and girlfriend yet you handwave away the fact that 95% of pro athletes cheat on their spouses/girlfriends. Why is that not G-R-O-S-S as well?

Press conference was weird. "Well, I wanted to talk about some business-related stuff and the dead ex-owner here, but I guess I'd better say something about the weird old racist since none of you will leave me alone about it." Like, sorry to put you out, dude who runs this entire league.

I also liked

"What can you do to punish Donald Sterling?"

"I dunno, stuff."

I also-also liked Silver's use of the passive voice, i.e. "I can't speak for past decisions that were made" or whatever he said. Well, you kinda can, because it's not like you just started working here; you were second in command during the last round of Sterling being gross. Also, "decisions were made" by whom, exactly? Ostensibly, the top brass at the NBA, like David Stern, whom you certainly won't sell out at a time like this, and, well, yourself.

Guys, I kind of have a feeling Sterling won't be forced to sell his team!

Wow, you're really an idiot.

Truly you have no idea what a press conference is. You actually think it's a place where you get actual real answers to questions that are asked. To believe that as you do is laughably moronic and stupid. Press conferences, ESPECIALLY press conferences involving sports are performance art. The reporters ask moronically inane questions like, "That play a minute and 45 seconds into the 2nd quarter that was the same play you made three weeks ago, were you thinking about what you did three weeks ago when you made that play today?" Or, "What does this loss/win mean for you in terms of what you need to focus on? And rather than staring at the reporter like they are a retard and snorting and dismissing them with a "Man, that's the dumbest question ever, I'm done with you fools," and walking off to get their dong sucked by a cheerleader in the owners box, the player if they have been reasonably coached by the media flunky gives the same tired bored lame fail played out cliche along the lines of, "We gots to play hard and work together."

O NOES!!!! Sterling might not be forced to sell the team!!!!!!! SO UNFAIRSSSSSSSSZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!! Bring my fainting couch in I have the vapors!!!!!!!!!

If Sterling is forced to sell the team, which by the way the league and commissioner have ZERO power ot make happen, Sterling gets to walk away with at least $450,000,000 in profit and go on about his merry bigoted racist way.

1.) Gong. Was nice knowing you. Adios, amigo.

2.) I would hate to see fans of the Clippers be looked upon as supporting a racist agenda just because the owner of their favorite team happens to be Leonardo DiCaprio in Django Unchained. Clippers fans should be allowed to be Clippers fans without being berated and called bigots just for supporting their team.

The Clippers' players are reportedly going to protest in some way for Game 5 per Marc Spears.

With fans attempting to get the whole crowd to wear all black, it would be cool if Adidas hooked the team up with all-black uniforms (like the Heat's black-and-white alternates) in order to make a statement. Not sure if it'd logistically be possible though.

I dunno about that. I can see an advertisement bar here already that says "get your OFFICIAL Clippers protest jeresy here!" That's pretty much the most marginalizing thing possible when it comes to this situation.

I am still shocked on how are people OK with someone being a snitch, like that woman is.

Even if she got the recording disingenuously, she's not a snitch... people who think like Donald Sterling >need< to be exposed.

Yeah like I mentioned before I'm not sure I can call her a snitch. Definitely a woman scorned though. This has revenge job written all over it. He was screwing her behind his wife's back and his wife sued her? She should've took him for half instead of worrying about the side chick. Hell, if I were the "girlfriend" I'd be on some revenge stuff too.

This sounds like an episode of scandal or something.

I'm going to play devil's advocate for a second...I'm not so sure that the NBA should do anything to Sterling. Why? Well, from what I've heard, his racism is common news, it's no surprise to anyone. And if that's the case, then I have to give the side-eye to everyone else involved. Because if this was common knowledge in NBA circles, then I have to look at the players and go, "Why'd you choose to play for this guy?" Paul didn't have a gun put to his head when he re-signed with the Clippers. And it's not like players haven't come out and demanded not to play for a team before. I have to look at Doc for accepting the coaching job. I have to look at Stern for sheltering Sterling, and Silver for continuing on the dangerous path his predeccessor set. I have to look at all the former black players who played for the Clippers, because if you knew and were bothered by it, wouldn't it have been a good idea to spread the word and warn other players, rather than just shrug it off and cash the check he gave you? I'm madder at the entire NBA for letting Sterling stick around so long than I am at the man himself, because at the end of the day, he's just one man, his influence is rather limited in the grand scheme of things. He only has as much power as the NBA and its players gives him. So an evil part of me is hoping that the NBA bites the bullet on this one, and Sterling gets away scot-free. Because punishing him gives the illusion that things are okay now when that's really not the case, this was not something that "just happened," this was something that was allowed to happen.

Tradition is the foundation of innovation, and not the enemy.

Thank you for this. The Clippers are my favorite team and the only team I've known. I'm no Sterling supporter and I can't wait to see him fade away.

LO you were right, I think. Clippers are wearing their warmups inside out as some sort of protest it seems.

Clippers wearing black wristbands, socks, and dropped the warmups with the logo on it in a pile at mid court, revealing red, logo less shirts underneath. Sterling's wife is also court side wearing all black.

Sterling's wife has a blood oath against the gold digger, too. This is gonna get weird.
