markotsay7
I'm biased as a Marlins fan (though I'm not a fan of the other 3 teams) but Miami has the best variance I think. Dolphins and Marlins are bold, Panthers and Heat are classic combinations. A bunch of those cities are just red/white/blue cop-outs. Blackhawks have the best logo in sports IMO, but the other Chicago teams are boring as all hell.
mafiaman
I guess if you consider teal and white "bold," then that's what the Dolphins are...
MJWalker45
From this list I'd say Bay Area. nice clean looks and nothing that looks out of place or over the top. Â Â
DC in Da House w/o a Doubt
Hard to go against the classic looks of New York's teams. They get my vote for #1. Brooklyn/Not Manhattan would probably be my #
GFB
Detroit, Chicago, and Boston are the top ones for me; but New York has made up considerable ground over the last 3-4 years (Mets ditching black, Knicks ditching black, Islanders going retro 95% of the time, etc...) BrianLion
Why is NY split if you lump the Bay Area and all of South Florida together? (And neither the Giants nor the Yankees play in Manhattan BTW). You also left the Raiders and the A's out of the Bay Area
pianoknight
Chicago is your destination if you prefer classic uniforms.Bears, Cubs, Bulls, Blackhawks and (generally) Chi-Sox are all pretty traditional in their uniforms. 5th in NAT. TITLES | 2nd in CONF. TITLES |  5th in HEISMAN |  7th in DRAFTS |  8th in ALL-AMER  | 7th in WINS  | 4th in BOWLS |  1st in SELLOUTS  | 1st GAMEDAY SIGN
tigerslionspistonshabs
I don't get how the Giants and Jets are split up in your list. They both play in Jersey. For that reason I'm also lumping the Devils into the same category. I'm just going to lump all of NY together. It's too confusing. Also, the Sharks are in the bay area but not the A's or Raiders? Chicago's the pretty clear-cut favorite IMO. 1. Chicago- Blackhawks, Bears and Bulls all in the top 3 of their respective leagues. Cubs and Sox arguably top 10 as well. 2. New York- Yanks, Rangers, Devils, Isles, Mets, Giants all great looks. Jets, Nets, Knicks not at all bad. 3. Boston- Not a fan of the Pats unis or else they'd be making a push for #1 or 2. 4. SF Bay Area- Giants, A's, Raiders, Niners, Warriors all in the upper echelon of their leagues.5. Detroit- Tigers, Wings amongst best in their leagues. Pistons and Lions top half in theirs. 6. Philadelphia- The Sixers knock them down, otherwise they'd make a case to leapfrog Detroit. 7. Dallas- Cowboys and Stars top 10 in their leagues. Rangers not bad. Not a fan of the Mavs. 8. Washington- Redskins and Wizards upper half of their leagues. Nationals are decent. If the Caps cleaned up their uniforms they'd be higher. After this point I had a tough time. They're all bad. I guess I'm going to go with a great, good, meh, bad ranking system. 9. Minneapolis/St. Paul (Vikings- good, Twins- meh, Timberwolves- meh, Wild- good) 2 goods, 2 mehs. 10. Miami (Dolphins- meh, Marlins- bad, Heat- great, Panthers- bad) 1 great, 3 bads. 11. Phoenix (Cardinals- meh, Diamondbacks- meh, Suns- bad, Coyotes- meh) 3 mehs, 1 bad.12. Denver (Broncos meh, Rockies meh, Nuggets meh, Avalanche BAD) 3 mehs, 1 very bad.
McCall
List corrections:The Knicks and Rangers are the only teams that actually play IN Manhattan. Plus if you're going to include the Giants and Jets, shouldn't the Devils be included? As mentioned, why are the Warriors the only Oakland team included in the "Bay Area"? (And neither the Giants nor the Yankees play in Manhattan BTW). You also left the Raiders and the A's out of the Bay AreaBay Area is together because those are the general SF teams (Sharks is only stretch one), NY is split up because 8 teams is too much to make a good comparison and data shows that Manhattan likes the Giants, Yankees, Knicks, and Rangers the most. The Jets are only popular in Long Island, the Mets are popular in both but generally less in Manhattan. The Nets and Islanders are clearly Long Island teams. I don't even get your South Florida problem. All those teams are "Miami" except the Panthers who plays 45 minutes out.
tigerslionspistonshabs
I just wondered to myself why LA isn't on this list...lol....I think 3 teams should be minimum for the list. LA, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, St. Louis, Houston, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Atlanta, etc.

illwauk
He split the New York teams up because sports fandom in New York is fairly consistent amongst the first NY teams in their respective sports (Yankees, Giants, Knicks, Rangers) which all have strong Manhattan roots even if they no longer play there. The second teams (Mets, Jets, Nets, Islanders) usually have move localized fan bases and focus more on Long Island/Brooklyn/Queens.

You can probably say the same for the Nets at this point. As for South Florida, the Panthers play closer to Ft. Lauderdale than Miami (about and hour + away) and the Dolphins play in Miami Gardens which is close to a half hour outside of Miami. Both of which are farther than the trek from New York City to Brooklyn/Nassua/Meadowlands

The pistons play in Auburn Hills, the Patriots play in Foxborough, etc. Miami Gardens is no different. They're a Miami team.4. The Northeast is super condensed so 10 miles is like 60 miles down in Florida. That's why I include the Panthers. Also Ft Lauderdaile isn't really a city so it doesn't count.
