I think Jerry's going to go all-in on Romo and make him the OC.

The fans want him, he'd be great for Dak's development; he can be saved and Romo can make him a great QB, kind of like how he did in 2016.

Reports are that Garrett's extension, which was almost set in stone a few weeks ago, may not happen after all. It's very likely Garrett will be gone this time next year. I think Jerry's going to lure Romo to the sidelines with the prospect of eventually becoming the head coach or the Dallas Cowboys.

Jerry will likely extend Garrett one additional year, through 2020. There's still the possibility of a lockout after the 2020 season and Jerry won't pay a dude if there's no football in 2020.  Rivera and Tomlin only were extended through 2020 a season ago.

Doug Nussmeier is one of the early favorites for the Dallas OC job?  Cowboys fans are going to love play-actions on third and 12 -- and there will be a lot of third and 12's because he sucks on first and second downs too.  His tenure in Florida was the most frustrated I've ever been watching a football team.

That would be a smokescreen for Garrett for him to take playcalling back.  The Red Robot called plays until the 2013 season.

And the Packers remain the only team never to be forced to play one of these games, as the home or road team.

It'll happen. Just glad Cleveland won't be on Hard Knocks this year.

Well, Kellen Moore was named OC and Kitna is the new QB Coach.

In much sdder news, former NFL QB and Cowboys QB Coach/OC Wade Wilson passed away today on his 60th birthday. No cause of death given, but was dianosed as Type 1 Diabetic before the 1985 season and as a coach was suspended five games by the NFL for violating the PED policy in 2007. Wilson claimed a positive test was made due to a drug to assist his insulin levels.

2019 HOF class announced: Ed Reed, Tony Gonzalez, Champ Bailey, Ty Law, Kevin Mawae, Gil Brandt, Pat Bowlen, and Johnny Robinson.

Some quick notes on Reed: he was the shortest discussion the committee had of all the modern inductees at 2:20.  He and Ray Lewis go back-to-back as first ballot HOFers after going back-to-back as DPOYs in '03-'04.  The Ravens draft three first-ballot HOFers within seven years of each other (Ogden and Lewis in '96, Reed in '02).  Ed Reed was a 2-star recruit coming out of high school.

I’m assuming you could probably add Terrell Suggs to that list eventually, too. They may make him wait a bit for show, though, which is ridiculous.

Also, I’m kind of annoyed John Lynch didn’t make it. He should eventually, though.

I'm gonna predict the Saints over the Chiefs 41-35. Brees will win his second, and last title. And we're going to see a lot of Kermit in the next several Super Bowls, he's the real deal. The Chiefs have to get a feature back, though!

Patriots vs. NFC Champion

Brady beats Seattle SB 55, fulfilling my prediction of one more for Tom. Then he retires. Personally, l think the current win-now Rams are done!
