Cubs should be in the mix next year. Maybe for a wild card spot. This is the Cubs, however, so you never know.

Miami - Stanton, Fernandez should be back to full strength, ect. Plus, it seems like it's time for one of those random out of nowhere Marlins Wild card runs we all hate so much. Maybe they'll get the Cubs in the playoffs again.

Haha, no they won't.

Mets - I have a feeling the NL East may cannabalize itself somewhat next season. Even Philly isn't looking THAT bad. Mets may have a shot if the top four stay relatively clustered together all year.

Boston - Because it's Boston. It's what they do. If they get Lester back than they'll be a top contender immediately.

White Sox - Abreau is a very solid piece to build around, and they have at least some top flight pitching. Kansas Ciry is gonna fall back down to earth, the Indians will continue to be the Indians, and the Twins are basically starting over. I could see a Wild Card spot for the White Sox. Maybe.

It's way too early to tell with free agency and offseason trades and whatnot.

But I think the Reds will be better. They'll still have solid starting pitching and bullpennery provided they stay healthy and I doubt they'll go through a second straight offseason without doing anything to upgrade the offense. Plus they'll hopefully not lose Votto for 100 games again.

I have a feeling the Brewers and Pirates will be worse and the Cubs will be better.

Tampa Bay and Texas are the two obvious ones, the former more-so than the latter. I guess Atlanta also makes sense if you're considering them not to be beridden with so many injuries to their rotation again in 2015.

Really, in this parity-rotten age of MLB, most sub-.500's one year can turn it around the next year. Just look at the 2012, to 2013, to 2014 Red Sox.

Same with Miami. Since the Cubs beat them in the movie. But we need them to change their name to the Gators before next season because the logo was a gator in the movie.

As Kramerica pointed out, Tampa Bay is the obvious choice. The Cubs have an interesting bunch of young talent. My guess is they're still another year or two away, but stranger things have happened. Miami could make some noise. But like others have said, it's still too early to have a real idea.
