RedSox44
Oh look, another pitcher (Archie Bradley) was hit by a ball going at insane speeds. Clearly the solution is to not have them pitch, but replace them with machines.Yes. Because David Ortiz is a machine.

chrysleraspen08
Too bad they couldn't make a few tumbleweeds to toss in the background during the game. It would really set the mood perfectly. RedSox44
Must be eerie for the players. Ever since little league they've always had crowds, even if it's just a dozen people.
2001mark
Too bad Gary Thorne & Jim Palmer couldn't make themselves STFU for 20 seconds. They have literally not stopping yakking since the telecast began. I know because I'm cognitively waiting for some silence to enjoy... & now I've given up.Unreal. @2001mark

FiddySicks
This whole thing seems strange. There seems to be quite a few fans outside of the park. Alex Houston
http://m.mlb.com/video/v94185783/cwsbal-loyal-fans-still-watching-game-from-outsideHow are they just allowed to stand there and watch? If they prevent people from entering for "public safety issues" then why let them loiter by the gates, looking like prisoners? Still MIGHTY
Whoever gets there early for the next home game is going to have a clearance sale on stray foul balls, though.I wish that they weren't still doing the full run-through on game ops. I mean I guess they have to? I know the players have to be formally announced. | ANA | LAA | LAR | LAL | ASU | CSULB | USMNT | USWNT | LAFC | OCSC | MAN UTD |

The_Admiral
God, everyone got their digs in on the Rays and Indians before I could make the painfully obvious "usually it's their home games where people are discouraged from attending" joke. It's best your missed the chance. People seem to look side-eyed at Cubs fans making jokes/boasting about attendance. It's like the lispy kid with huge glasses and hearing aids making fun of a dork for getting beaten up in junior high. It doesn't give you street cred. I've ripped the Cubs way more than the Sox in the last three years. Allow me a trip back to the old homestead, will ya. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Allow me a trip back to the old homestead, will ya.It was your second jab of the week so I had to step in. I've enjoyed your Cub-related pessimism, though. It's a nice change of pace, especially in light of the media's pre-jaculation and the people pulling their "It's Gonna Happen!" signs out of the closet after a few prospects got called up.
