The Sharks were the only other one who ever showed an inclination to wear a 3rd in the playoffs and they've done away with that idea already. I was at the last game of the year that season and they mentioned that over the loudspeakers. Actually, I kinda liked those black alts, for some strange reason. I picked up an authentic version of that jersey that night for like 75% off. Chain stitched front crest, fight strap, padded shoulders. It was really nice. In fact I would take them more seriously if they wore these than that Disney garbage. Seriously all they would have to do is swap out "Oregon" for "Anaheim" and swap out the O's with OC's, and it would be better than their current thirds. The Catch of the Day! So... swap out mask logo, bring in a logo that strongly resembles actually is Donald Duck, to make them "less Disney". Okay. -- As for the black Mighty Ducks third, I liked that for what it was. But on its own and from an objective standpoint, it's a bit generic. I wasn't too keen on them being used in the playoffs that one year, or influencing the direction the rebrand would take. Oh well. Traditional striping, the MD shoulder logo, and I was a sucker for anything that actually said Anaheim on the front at the time. My only real problem with them is that there was also a team just up the road with a primarily black jersey with purple striping and silver accents. Little too similar to that for my liking. I own one, and wear it occasionally, but I'm choosy about which games to wear it to.
