FiddySicks
Six finals appearances in eight years. First team since the Jordan Bulls. It’s still hard to wrap my head around that this team went from being mostly an afterthought in terms of success to this in less than a decade. Never thought that was going to happen with the Warriors. The Kings would’ve somehow been less surprising to me. It'd be pretty crazy, until you realize half those appearances were because they had the most broken team in NBA history since...well The Bulls. Still I give them credit maintaining that consistency even without KD (not that they every needed him in the first place). Steph, Klay, & Green are just Monstars. TrueYankee26
We will see if the Celtics join the Dubs or Heat force a game 7. I say Celts win. trueyankee26.wordpress.com
Dynasty
Miami isn't winning the series, even if they win Game 6. I give the Celtics credit where its due with their defense, but the Heat team itself has also been a no-show for a majority of the series, injuries or not. I hate to say it, but their peak was the 2020 Finals. Honestly, the Bucks are better than this team.
DoctorWhom
Celtics have been up 3-2 in the past and have lost before (2010 Finals, 09 Magic, 2012 Heat, 2018 Cavs)so I'm not taking anything for Granted.
Digby
That 2012 Game 6 is maybe the best LeBron game I can remember seeing. Celtics just had to win one, at home, looked for all the world like they were clicking at the right time and reasserting themselves as the true top-dog Big 3 of the era ... and LeBron just broke their spirit all by himself. Just totally unstoppable.
DoctorWhom
2018 ECF probably annoys me the most. That was a Cavs team was being carried by Lebron's will alone. Celtics actually had home court and both teams could only win at home, but of course Lebron pulls game 7 godhood to win. Worse because we got such a crappy Finals out of it too. Celtics would have at least made it a series against the Warriors, They matched up pretty well against them that year. I really hope the same thing doesn't happen here. DoctorWhom
:censored:ing :censored:. Of course Celtics blow it a home again. Worst case scenario for them because not only is it back to Miami, but they needed to win tonight to get that extra rest since they're so obviously banged up. This will be so much worse than 2018 if they lose. 2018 at least it was just Lebron. Celtics have no business losing to the Heat. And we'd get another boring Finals sweep by the Warriors. who do you think
Alright well f*** ESPN with a rusty auger blade for that "Celtics will beat the Warriors in the Finals" bit this morning existing. Jimmy Butler's just the kind of guy you want to piss off!
who do you think
Me trying to talk myself into the Celtics having a decent chance in a very unfavorable situation (game seven on the road): - Jimmy Butler is not going to do that twice - Miami's home crowd is terrible - ABC (and therefore the league itself) would surely rather have the Celtics in the Finals than the Heat, right? Tatum's a Blues fan, right? Any chance one of those Hills Have Eyes looking trolls from that 2019 team is available for a motivational speech? DoctorWhom
Another ECF loss would just be humiliating for the Celtics. They've been one of the best teams in the east for over 5 years now, and were given an historically great hand to rebuild with thanks to the Nets. Lebron cockblocking them from the Finals for 3 straight years is at least understandable, but there's no reason they shouldn't be able to get past Jimmy :censored:ing Butler. 13 hours ago, who do you think said: - ABC (and therefore the league itself) would surely rather have the Celtics in the Finals than the Heat, right? Yet Miami won in 2020 when we could have had another Lakers - Celtics Finals. like they weren't salivating over that. God I hope the Celtics win tonight, can't over the :censored:ing hump once so you don't become one of those meme teams that could never get it done. I don't care if they would lose to the Warriors in the Finals. That's at least more understandable than losing to Miami (again).

Germanshepherd
Not much to say for Miami after that loss. Had the look you’d want at the end, just didn’t go. i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience
Pharos04
Hopefully will be a good series! I’m kind intrigued that two of the three Classic teams both celebrating their 75th are in the Finals. (lol sorry Knicks?) Perhaps we may get those throwbacks in a game or two?
CaliforniaGlowin
I thought this was going to be the heat's year man like last year was supposed to be the nets' year. Last updated 8/
DoctorWhom
Glad the Celtics got the monkey off their back. At least now no one can say they never made the Finals. Celtics - Warriors will be an interesting matchup. I think people are giving the Warriors a bit too much credit. They're still an amazingly good team, but they aren't quite the juggernaut they were a few years ago. Hell Toronto was able to be at them.
