KD is the equivalent of Antonio Brown to the NBA. Incredibly talented but no one wants to touch him because of his narcissistic tendencies

Is that true though?  Seems like plenty of teams want to touch him, they just don't have what it takes to make the trade.  Also, he's not a risk of being suspended during the season like Antonio Brown always was because of his batsht craziness.  Narcissistic, maybe.  But Antonio Brown isn't a fair comparison.

Lol, Sixers president Darryl Morey was found to be a follower and occasional commenter on the “Girls In Yoga Pants” instagram account, and local blogs having fun with it - and he’s having fun with it.

Antonio Brown was a talented headcase. Kevin Durant is a Hall of Famer who, having punched his ticket, is spending the tail end of his career being annoying. He's not untouchable, he will be touched, everyone just has to patiently sit through him tweeting "maybe the people who think you have it all are the ones who are really happy..." for a few weeks.

Does Simmons have any kids? Seems kinda random for him to be in a candy store in a mall mid-offseason. I'm not knocking it, but it just seems a little odd.

He might have nephews and nieces, might have a sweet tooth or a girlfriend with a sweet tooth. You never need a reason to visit a candy store.

Someone with a 10 year old daughter. I enjoy going as much as she does. Never need a reason

More on this: he rented the whole candy store out so he could shop in private, and had kids kicked out so he could shop.  They asked if they could have pictures with him and he said no, which is what prompted the guy to film him and be  dick to him.

The guy sounds like a complete idiot, but I don't mind Simmons being punked for.... well, being  a punk.

Am I the only person who doesn't know what the Crawsover is? When did all these NBA players start playing in a bunch of Pro-Am tournaments? Shouldn't unnecessary non-team basketball be outlawed in their contracts?

I know the internet is full of a bunch of people who have no idea who they are, so they just start calling things "mid" out of nowhere, but this reminds me so many internet basketball people started talking about whatever the Drew League is despite not knowing what the hell it was the day before.

Pro-am tournaments aren't new. LeBron James randomly showing up -- probably with a day or two advance notice to everyone involved -- is.

As far as players staying out of tournaments, there isn't precedence for that yet. The first time a Steph or Klay or AD is injured during one of them is when things change. Until then, if LeBron wants to do one-day pro-am tournaments, that's what he's going to do.

EDIT:

I think this is pretty cool:

Didn’t Lebron also play in the Drew League earlier this off season? It’s uncommon for him, but a lot of NBA players play in that one.

Nike's "I Wanna Be Like Violet Beauregard" ad campaign of 2004 was short-lived and highly maligned, but you can't say it didn't have an impact

I am not so much concerned about NBA players potentially getting injured at these summer pro-am events as I am about the amateurs.

As it happens, they had to cancel the game after half an hour because there was too much condensation in the gym and players were slipping.

Oh well!

I don't get it how it's totally okay and the NBA teams let their players play in such meaningless extra-curricular pro-am leagues, when the international tournaments that actually bear meaning are frowned upon and approached with such caution and some players aren't even permitted to participate, like this year's Heat rookie Nikola Jovic or Juancho Hernangomez just recently while with the Wolves.

These meaningless pro-am games are nothing more than public practices for the players. They are not going all-out for 40+ minutes each time. Players are just as likely to get injured on their own private workouts than a charity event.

With the FIBA tournaments, the players are going hard every game because they are meaningful. Which means they are more likely to wear down.

Their "opponents" at private workouts at least have some minimal level of competence and are vetted, as opposed to randoms who's sloppiness could result in someone being injured.  There could also be a bad actor who just wants to hurt Lebron so he "accidentally" steps on his foot or elbows him in his nuts or something.

But I don't know anything about this pro-am stuff so I'm not sure how "random" the armatures are.  I assume they're better than the kids I see playing and fighting each other at the rec center near me.
