Reputation doesn't win games. Take it from someone who's been there, you age quite a bit between age 40 and 45. Brady may not be done, but he's not TOM BRADY any more. And he's certainly not worth whatever the Raiders would have to pay to get him. I could be wrong, but I don't see Brady playing for league minimum just to keep playing. Add that to the fact that the Raiders are already buried under bad contracts and it's pretty clear that Brady's not a serious option.

Are you seriously saying Baker Mayfield is a better option than Derek Carr? Again, take it from someone who's been there, Baker is just as likely to go 11-35 with 3 INTS next week as he is to recreate what he did Thursday night. Jimmy G is a lateral move at very best. Jacoby Brissett is a good option...as a back up.

You act like Carr is a better QB than them when he really isn't. At best he's always been mediocre.

I do not buy into the Vikings at all. I doubt they win a playoff game, and if they do, they'd likely face San Francisco or Dallas in the next round where they'd be underdogs (even if they're hosting that divisional game).

The Vikings were underdogs to the 5-7 Lions today. Kinda tells us all we need to know about that team.

As a close observer of this year's Minnesota Vikings, I can say with a fair amount of confidence that they'll probably win their opening round home playoff game against either the Giants, Commies, or Seahawks. But after that they'll have zero shot against the Eagles, 49ers, or Cowboys (even with playoff McCarthy making decisions).

But to be honest, before the season started, my most optimistic prediction for this team was 8 wins and they've already got 10, so what the hell... it's been fun.

Mike White got rocked in the ribs twice today, exiting the games both times and had to leave the stadium post-game in an ambulance. Either White is stupid, the Jets medical staff is stupid for allowing him to go back in twice, or the NFL just doesn’t care for player safety.

Assuming x-rays showed there wasn't a break and White asked to go back into the game. End of story. Not every injury needs to be treated like concussion protocol.

I'm not acting. He's better than Mayfield and Brissett for sure, Brady is too old, and Jimmy G can't stay on the field.

You’re right. Not every injury needs to get the concussion treatment. However, White was injured twice in the same area in the same game. Medical staff should’ve pulled the plug after the second time.

If you feel that way sure, but he's been the Raiders QB for how long, under how many coaches? and hasn't really accomplished anything.  Raiders need to realize they aren't going anywhere with him.

I’d like to know what Carr could do for a team like the Rams or even Jets

"Under how many coaches" may be part of the answer to your question. I'm not saying Carr is a top five QB or even a top ten QB. All I'm saying is that as things currently stand, the Raiders don't have any significantly better options.

With how they've been, I don't really see how they can do much worse. Carr isn't the answer for them either way.

Miami's offense is looking like smoke and mirrors; relying too much on the speed of their top two receivers. There isn't really anything beyond that since they have no effective run game.

This team could really be on the outside of the playoff picture and it's starting to come to my realization.

Carr threw for 4800 yards with a 68.9 completion percentage last year playing for an interim coach and the Raiders made the playoffs. You really believe you're going to get that out of Mayfield, Brissett, or Jimmy G? The problem with the Raiders isn't Derek Carr, it's Josh McDaniels.

There is no way I'd take current Tom Brady over Derek Carr. Pretty sure the Raiders won't either.

Yeah I think people are still giving Brady a wide birth due to his reputation, but the dude looks absolutely cooked. Like, I get that the o line is completely decimated, but he’s routinely missing his receivers on even some really basic throws. The two interceptions he threw today looked like some rookie qb level stuff. Just duffing passes into the ground or throwing behind his targets. Bucs have used him as their workhorse and he looks like he’s actively falling apart because of it. I mean, it’s not even that surprising. He’s definitely one of the worst QBs I’ve ever seen live.

It's their defense that is getting exposed. Xavien Howard is looking washed.

Getting rid of Bisaccia was definitely a mistake, but blaming McDaniels is a cop out answer when they've struggled long before they hired him. 2016 was the only other year the Raider made the playoffs and Carr got hurt and didn't play in that game.  He's not hurting the Raiders, but he certainly is not helping them. One way or the other they need to move on from him. Otherwise the Raiders will continue to be stuck in mediocrity, or Worse.
