They're giving us some kind of bird feather effect, aren't they? 🤦‍♂️

No - not that crazy. The hints are all out there about the helmets...when you see them, you'll say "of course".

I don’t recall seeing any hints, but the only thing I can think of that would make me say “of course” about the helmets would be a yellow facemask to represent the beak. But that doesn’t seem to align with the rumored new colors. Otherwise, I’ve got nothing.

I wonder if their black alternates were a “trial run” for the 3D decal effect. I really liked how it looked. Wonder if they could do something similar on a lighter shell.

Yeah, that could be. I was joking however.

One hint I'll give is that these won't be standard White shells.

For some reason, I'm thinking something along the lines of that mother-of-pearl white halfway-irridescent paint finish Cadillac's been using for white since about the late '90s...only with redder iridescence instead of half-green. (If you've seen Cadillacs in that color, you know what I mean.) And of course I could totally be off-base...and we get a [maybe off-] white version of their alternate black helmets with the logo (itself probably half-irridescent like the ones on their black helmets) encased in some type of high-gloss finish. And of course I could be totally off-base with these, too...

...All that said, given the previous out-the-box offerings we've gotten from the Swoosh since they took over the NFL in 2013 (Seahawks, Browns, Buccaneers, Snatit, Commanders), I ain't getting my hopes up for this. I will leave just a sliver of room that I might be pleasantly surprised, but...ehh, I probably won't be.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

I’m guessing right now that it’s going to be basically be the logo but zoomed in and switched to desert cardinal colors.

So the facemask will be orange, the area immediately in the front will be red with an eye decal on either side and the back of the helmet will be some kind of dusky grey.

Sort of the “Best New Helmet” entry in the contest a few years back.

The guy that's been feeding me all of this info loves the new identity however. Says that the Cards will "own it".

It'll be a unique color palette in the major sports.

Won't look like the Falcons any longer...nor will they be going to anything that looks like the Chiefs.

I can at least applaud them for this aspect of it.  They could’ve mailed it in.  It’ll all come down to execution now, but at least they’ll have reinvented the brand.

Silver helmet with the red and silver Cardinals logo - like the suitcase with the logo on it.

Didn’t the Steelers do that in the 70’s?

A lot of teams did clear shells with decal and paint on the inside.

In fact, almost any pic of Roger Staubach will show a clear shell.

A white helmet with metallic gold/copper flakes? An anodized red facemask that can look various shades of red depending on lighting? A bit larger helmet logo that's metallic and has gradients like the one on the black helmet?

Am I getting warm or cold?

White with metallic gold or copper flakes = Sand = Sonoran Desert

All I can think is it has to be some sort of desert sand color. The defacto colors for Phoenix area pro sports teams are Brick/Maroon and Sand, and it would just make too much sense to see them trend in that direction. I’m starting to wonder if that “orange” color we keep hearing about is actually copper. I could absolutely get behind an AZ Cardinals team in Brick, Sand, and a touch of copper. That could look very nice.

nothing about what you've said here gives me any hope for these uniforms. especially when you said their more out of the box than the Commies...

If it’s more outside the box but actually has some semblance of consistency / vision between the looks it can be fine, at least better than Washington. Which looked like they were handed the color palette and 3 different people came up with each uniform.
