Red Comet
Travis Kelce is just a one-in-a-million combination of size, speed, elusiveness to baffle any defense. Pretty sure every fanbase has screamed “Why won’t they cover him?” by now.
FinsUp1214
Pretty cool to see Jaren Hall drafted by the Vikings: I attended high school at K-12 charter school, and Jaren’s father, former BYU and CFL running back Kalin Hall, was the assistant director there. Jaren attended the same school (in the middle school section) as well until he transferred to Maple Mountain High School, so I saw him around the campus from time to time. I knew and interacted with his father much more than I did with Jaren, but even still, it’s pretty cool to see a kid I met and had seen around at my school years ago get drafted into the NFL. I’m super happy for him and his family, and rooting for him to get a shot to start for the Vikings down the road. With Cousins not getting any younger, that’s honestly not a bad situation for Jaren to find himself in.
DCarp1231
It’s refreshing not seeing Washington draft a QB. Unrelated note- I didn’t realize Zeke Elliott has still not signed with anyone.

He's going to have to wait until a contender loses a guy to injury - and be willing to play for peanuts. At this point it's possible he doesn't sign until after the season starts. Perfect example of why only dummy teams draft RBs that high - they rarely play on a second contract, and even then, typically fall hard before seeing it through. FiddySicks
Pretty hilarious that Zeke had the gall to put out a list of teams he preferred to play for. Lol, like, ok dude. And I’d like to play for the Buccaneers, 49ers, or be an astronaut. Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) DCarp1231
I’m glad I didn’t pay much attention to the draft beyond Washington’s 1st round pick because I’m absolutely positive at least 10-15 guys were called “physical specimens” by the commentators. That phrase gives me the biggest sports ick. The :censored: are we doing referring to dudes in their early 20s as “specimens”?
FiddySicks
I mean, these guys are all coming from major colleges and universities. It’s basically four years of talking about what “specimens” the co-eds are. It weirdly comes with that particular territory. 1 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) They did draft a WR and DB who ran 4.7's, although one of them was reportedly injured a bit when he ran that 4.

He's a nice player, but he'll be irrelevant in a couple of seasons. $10M for a RB is absurd. Carolina paid ex-Eagle Miles Sanders - who's a decent player and good guy - $6.5M. Philadelphia is paying their entire RB room (Rashaad Penny, D'Andre Swift, Kenny Gainwell, Boston Scott, and some jabroni) $6.5M. That's a pretty dang good room. A guy like McCaffrey is special. He's worth committing cap space to. There might be another one or two. But for the most part, only dummies pay RBs. 3 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." BBTV
So I don't know how all this stuff works, but apparently the Eagles get a 4th-round compensatory pick if D'Andre Swift leaves after this year. They traded a 4th for him. So it's basically a free player - they just had to put down a deposit that they'll get back next year.
