I'm not sure I've seen this before in the NHL. I love it! There is no need for the current circle-in-a-circle look.

Bruins, Islanders have no blue circle for quite long time, Vegas since 2022 and Ducks in their 30th anniversary also not has it.

It's pretty impressive that they've got new center ice every year.

How long has it been a thing for NHL teams to add their own little decorative alt logos to the centrelines on the rink? I'm liking this new trend...

Based on https://www.thefaceoff.net/ice-nhl it looks like Tampa was the first team to do it back in 2002. By the mid-2010s it was a pretty common trend.

I really like the incorporation of simplified logo elements into the stripe (Edmonton's oil drop, Carolina's warning flag design, Winnipeg's jet silhouette), but can't stand teams that force their entire logo into the stripe (Anaheim, Detroit, Nashville, Calgary).

Totally agree. There's just not enough resolution there to do stuff that's that detailed. For example, a perfect idea for the St. Louis  Blues would be five thin red lines, i.e., a music staff. A bad idea would be couple dozen tiny repeated Blues logos embedded in the red line. Penguins, good idea, triangles. Bad idea, the actual Penguins logo. Senators, laurel leaves, Perds, guitar picks, Stars, stars, you get the idea.

Don't think anyone pointed this out yet -- in the gold part of the center ice between the logo and the Stanley Cup outline is a medieval fantasy-style map (you can especially see the mountains to the left of the logo).

Teaser for the new Bruins uniforms. The rumor is that they'll be based on the 70s uniforms but with a shiny gold instead of the yellow in some capacity. Can get a glimpse of that here.

Shiny gold on a Bruins jersey sounds extremely stupid.

That's pretty sweet, but they should make it a bit more pronounced.

It's looking like the gold on the logos and numbers will be metallic, but not the jersey itself. Given the black shoulder with the logo it's looking like they'll be the 80s/early 90s Neely era, aside from the shiny parts.

Kinda like they're using shiny thread (or whatever synthetic substitute in the patchwork) just to make it shiny in light, but embedded within the usual Bruins yellow that's not like Vegas or sometimes-Pittsburgh.

Also, the Canes announced that they're bringing back the 2017-2022 red jerseys instead of keeping the throwbacks. Huge mistake imo.

Probably a matter of time before their original look comes back full time given the popularity it had. But good move to bring back the 2017-22 red. I know it's not a popular opinion, but i always tought it was their best looking jersey ever.

Anything but their black one actually

I’m glad they’re going back! I always liked the two sideways logos for the Flyers over the big logo. The Redline just cut through in such an odd way vs other teams. (I even think the Habs look better with a large logo vs this style. )

Totally agree. In fact many teams need to go back to two sideways logos and that includes the Canadiens. However, I always liked the single but smaller centre ice logos of the Flames(Stampede Corral & early Saddledome years) and the Bruins(Boston Garden era).

Would that actually be seen on the ice though? Even the spirals in the black section I doubt you’d be able to see unless the ice was freshly zamonbied and right at ice level. It’s cute but unnecessary.
