OMMF
Sports stars seem to get injured in the weirdest ways. Here's one from this past week:- The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported on Tuesday that Twins left-hander Terry Mulholland, was doubtful at game time Monday night because of a scratch on his right eye. Mulholland was hurt by the end of a feather sticking out of his pillow when he rolled over in bed at the team hotel. Mulholland pitched .1 innings on Tuesday night. Mulholland is the third Twin to be injured in his hotel room this season, joining infielders Jason Bartlett and Juan Castro.
otherwilds
One of my faves was when vince Coleman, base stealing demon for the zst Louis Cards, caught himself entangled with the rolled up tarp. I better finish this up quickly so as not to develop Zambrano-itis.

I don't know what's funnier - the fact that Mulholland scratched his eye, or the fact that three players have been injured in their hotel rooms. Twins better bring some tents if all them hotel rooms are too dangerous. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half. officeglenn
Here's one I'm pretty sure I'll always remember:Mariners | Sasaki Placed On DL after Bizarre Injury - from www.KFFL.comWed, 11 Jun 2003 18:16:27 -0700The AP's Jim Cour reports Seattle Mariners closer Kazuhiro Sasaki (ribs) was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday, June 11, after a bizarre accident on Sunday, June 8, in which he bruised his right ribs when he tripped on his stairs at home while carrying a suitcase upstairs. The move is retroactive to Friday, June 6. Sasaki wasn't available for Tuesday night's game because of discomfort. After he complained of trouble sleeping Wednesday night, the team made the decision to place him on the DL, according to manager Bob Melvin. He will be eligible to return to action on June 21.After hearing this, I was pretty embarrassed to wear the Sasaki T-shirt I have in my drawer... EagleFan344
I think Jake Plummer broke his foot getting off his couch last year. And Brian Griese tripped over his dog one year.
epper
David Cone was bit on his arm/wrist by his mom's dog a few years ago and had to miss a start. But nothing beats this one: 2002-- Marty Cordova is day-to-day after burning his face in a tanning bed earlier this week. Under doctor's orders, the Orioles' outfielder has been told to stay out of the sun for a few days. He should return by this weekend.

You cant forget that. The really funny part about that one is that the week before on the segment he used to do for NFL on FOX, Jimmy Kimmel was making fun of the Gramatica's and ended by saying they're gonna hurt themselves if they keep that celebrating up. FiddySicks
My high school baseball team had a wierd injury this past season. Our star pitcher missed the last game and had to have surgery on his ankle because he broke it when his six year old little brother came up behind him and scared him. Hes kind of a high strung guy, and he is a real nervous dude and his brother came up behind him one day at practice and screamed. He jumped about three feet in the air and came down on a baseball bat and, CRACK!!!! There goes the rest of his season. Im sure thats gotta be the wierdest one ill ever see. pcgd
One of our rivals in college baseball had a goofy injury.their star pitcher was going to be drafted in the upcoming draft, he was leading the league in wins and pretty much the best thing they had going.Well, the week before the conference tournament, he either broke or severly sprained his ankle. What was he doing? Sliding into second base during a running drill at the end of practice...so just a cool down exercise. Everyone else was jogging, this guy decides to slide. Oh, and he never batted anyway, he got DH'd for. We won the tournament and Oakland took him in a very late round.

Yeah, he missed a whole flippin month because he threw his back out sneezing. What a F'n joke! He probably just made the whole thing up just keep the hell away from Dusty. That's when I began to believe that the Cubs were cursed. Then jkrdevil showed his wisdom by saying that their Goat was just a lame excuse for sucking for years, and I've went with that story ever since. stimpy
How bout' Kevin Brown punching a wall and breaking his hand. Then when asked why did you use your left hand and he responded 'I'm not stupid.' Or if he's a left handed pitcher he used his right hand, I forgot. But I think it's right.
