cubfan1985
Watching the Bears/Panthers game and realizing the Bears weren't going to win, I started thinking...what has been the most difficult playoff loss (series or game) for me to stomach? I would have to say that Game 5 of the NLCS in '03 would do it for me, as it was the beginning of the end for the Cubs. Anybody else?
Grandmaster C
Canucks: Game 7 of the 1994 Stanley Cup finals. It was an awesome run, it's just too bad Lafayette couldn't convert his golden opportunity and maybe send it to OT.Mariners: The entire 2001 ALCS vs. New York. When Chuck Knoblauch got on base on the very first pitch of the series, I could feel that something wasn't right...
TLChandler
In the year 2000 when the Blazers were facing the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. We were up 16 going into the 4th quarter of game 7. The rest is history. Two years in a row, we lost game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. It hurts I tell ya. I would have to say that Game 5 of the NLCS in '03 would do it for me, as it was the beginning of the end for the Cubs. Anybody else? Games six and seven were worse than game five. I think we all kinda expected them to lose game five, partly because we all thought it would have been more appropriate for them to clinch with Prior on the hill in game six. You got me thinking, and here's a list of the single worst defeats for all five Chicago teams:Cubs--Game six of the 2003 NLCS to the Marlins 8-3White Sox-- Game four of the 1983 ALCS to the Orioles 3-0Bears-- 1986 divisional playoffs to the Redskins 27-13Blackhawks-- Game seven of the 1971 Stanley Cup finals to the Habs 3-2Bulls-- Game six of the 2005 Eastern Conference quarterfinals to the Wizards 94-

Alphabet Man
watching the old Victoria Titans (basketball) in any playoff finals match.....they always finished on top but melted in the finals, and i went to all the Grand Final series games at Rod Laver Arena or Vodafone Arena....they had great players....now most went to Sydney and they have won the past 3 on the trotone that really pissed me off is St Kilda losing the past two preliminary finals, 2004 was by one straight kick, and if Guerra kicked the ball of the ground rather than try pick it up to kick, we'd have won, and 2005 we just ran out of legs, we took way too many injured/underdone players into that match. twitter.com/thebrainofMatt

Game 7 of the 1992 NLCS against the Pittsburgh Pirates. For me, it isn't the close-but-no-cigar matches that are tough losses, but the ones where your team goes in, and simply doesn't play. Looks horrible, gives up points, doesn't score, seems outclassed and out hussled. Those are worse in my book. NCFA Sunset Beach Tech - Octopi ΓΔΒ! Yac12
Pick one-Cubs 1984 Games 4 or 5. This was my first taste of any of my teams being a winner and the Cubs having leads and not winning any of these games. Game 5 First time a game that I watched made me cry.2003 Game 6 was bad to but being older I was able to handle it much better.

Eesh.No Bills fans on losing 2 straight SB's? I think it's a lot easier to live with a Super Bowl loss. The truth is of the four straight losses, the only Bills Super Bowl that was truly gut wrenching was the loss to the Giants. I still think it's better to get there and lose than to not get there at all. I'll always have a soft spot for the Bills and their fans. After we lost the Browns Buffalo had a "Browns fans" game when they played the Bengals one season. I thought it was a really classy move by the team and their fans. They sat aside a bunch of tickets for Cleveland fans and invited us to Buffalo root against our old rival. I was living in Syracuse at the time and the "Browns fan" game was big news up there. Now if they'd only lose those awful uniforms...
