I'm embarrassed to share my city with them...

I don't think any of the Hawks players killed their best friend in a car crash. Embarrassed about that much?

I am. I'm glad he's gone.

I hate the Hawks jerseys and logos.

Looks more like Helvetica to me (thank God for that, too; Arial is an abomination)

Pfft. Arial is an acceptable font in most universities for undergrad term papers. Do you know how many students love that fact? In case you don't know what I'm talking about, type a paragraph in 12-point Times New Roman, then convert it to 12-point Arial. :)

As for the logo, you're right. I just tried the wordmark with Arial and Helvetica, and they're almost indistinguishable... except for the A. Arial's A is a little wider than the Helvetica, as we see in their forgettable wordmark.

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

I can't believe how much love the Pistons horse bbq logo gets around here. Blech.

If we're allowed to nominate INACTIVE NBA logos, though, then the winner has to be the old Buffalo Braves logo.

As a TA in college, I was happy to get papers in Courier New (really!) or Arial font. That meant I didn't have to read them because they were an automatic redo.

My two favorite inactive logos (and two of my guiltiest pleasures) are:

5764.gif

and

4745.gif

My favorite current logo is the Celtics. Both the primary and the shamrock secondary.

Dr. Kelso: My son is a big baseball fan. Not so much playing it, but more the designing and sewing of uniforms.

Tyler: That's neat.

Dr. Kelso: No, it's not.

I don't even wanna know what happened to papers written in Comic Sans.

I like the Suns primary logo.

It uses elements from the past and incorpoates some modern touches.

The only problem I have with it is that it uses the font the Suns used on their unis from 92-00. They don't use that font on the court, on the uniforms, or anywhere else, but somehow it remains on their primary logo, while the alternate (PHX) logo contains the current font they use everywhere else.
