Does Notre Dame jump back up to #2 after this week, destroying a ranked Big Ten team? USC's on a bye and, obviously, one of the top two teams has to lose.

Don't forget about Auburn. They destroyed Mississippi St. But most likley USC or ND is #2.

1) I thought Penn State was overrated (not that that takes away from the win or all).

With that said, yes, they're #2 next poll.

Also Nebraska 56, Nichols State 7: Attention Northwestern, Richmond and Big XII North-THIS is how you play and defeat a I-AA team. :P

In a word, no. They're #6. Put the winner of tonight's game at #1, USC #2, Auburn #3, the loser #4, WVU #5.

Sorry, but Notre Dame hasn't beaten anyone that's any good, nor will they face anyone that's any good till the last game of the season. Besides, WVU and Auburn at least kept the opposition from putting the ball in the end zone, something Notre Dame failed to do.

Anyway, in today's action...

-Ole Miss hangs on to win 28-25 against Memphis. That Scheffer kid for the Rebels is good.

Don't get all excited about ole piss just yet. they did beat a pesky memphis team, but they do have some defensive questions. schaffer will get better if the o-line holds up...unfortunately it looked good today.

FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS GO TO OLE MISS

At least the Rebels can score points.....

unfortunately...this is very true!

Two home games, zero points cumulative.

At least they're consistent.

By the way, Troy leads Florida State 17-10 midway through the 4th quarter.....

UPDATE: 6:12 left, 4th quarter, tied at 17. I wonder if this one's bigger than Montana State over Colorado or New Hampshire over Northwestern?

Looks like someone's shining headlights on the Trojans.

FSU's deep in Troy territory with about 2 minutes left.

Notre Dame was quite impressive today they took Penn State apart piece by piece, and if Ohio State does not beat Texas the Big Ten is going to start looking pretty bad.

Who wonders if FSU's AD would still have a job right now had Florida State lost?

No more Monday Night games with Miami, that's for sure.

Tennessee:i knew the O Air Force runs was gonna give the Vols D fits but :cursing: damn, now i gotta hear and read the negative bs on the MBs and sports radio before the Florida game, but the bottom line a WIN is a WIN .

Vanderbilt: a vailiant effort to the bitter end against Bama. But just couldn't pull it out as usual.

Oh, so heartbreakingly close for Troy and for Air Force, who lost at Tennessee by a single point 31-30. oz is right though, a win is a win no matter how ugly it is.

Also, can anyone here explain what the :censored: Greg Robinson of Syracuse was smoking??? 4 chances on the freaking goal line against the fluffing Cockeyes and you DON'T GET IT IN?!?! You're ass ought to be fired just for that crap.

You need to have your right to post in this thread revoked.

Do you watch the games before you babble like an idiot or just look at the final score?

Notre Dame completely and utterly dominated a ranked team from the Big Ten. Until about 6 minutes left in the game, the score was 41-3. Penn State scored in garbage time. They didn't score until the game was completely out of question and Notre Dame's defense let up and conceded the underneath passes.

Ignorance. You continue to show it with comment after comment. How can you honestly say Texas deserves to be ranked higher than Notre Dame? They destroyed a bad Sun Belt team and got destroyed by the Buckeyes. That team that West Virginia kept out of the endzone... it was a 1-AA team. And Auburn shut down an offense that hasn't even scored yet. Notre Dame keeping those Penn State WR's from scoring is far more impressive.

To tell you the truth, I'm glad that we didn't get blown out like every one thought we did. If we had more things go our way, we would have won the game.

Oh well, now I guess that we will get ready for Ga. Tech this week.

What's all the noise down there??? You have to yell a little louder your comments aren't making it up here to the top of the hill... :D

Seriously though, I'm with InTheEnd88 on this one. Notre Dame has beaten a couple of good teams. They may not have been great teams but both teams were definitely capable of beating Notre Dame. If Notre Dame makes it to Glendale they'll definitely deserve to be there. They're playing Ga. Tech, Penn State, Michigan in their first three games while most other top 25 teams are feasting on the small conference, directional, and division 1-aa schools.

I like West Virginia but let's be real here. They're riding a "hang on for dear life" win in a BCS bowl last year and two great offensive players into the top 10. Give them Notre Dame's schedule or put them in the SEC or Big Ten and they'll go 7-5 at best. Look at the top 10 and tell me that team WVU would be favored against. There's not one team in the top 10 that I'd bet against if they were playing WVU.

It's a long way till January. I'll bet the house right now that when The BCS title game comes around WVU will have been gone from the discussion for a long time.
