BCBoy
Sweet upset, one upset that I actually predicted right for a change...---After the first quarter in the MSU/ND game, I was thinking about making a "Notre Dame is extremely overrated this year" thread, but once again, the game shows you gotta play a full 60 minutes, and it's not over until IT'S OVER
Seadragon76
Hey, I'm glad that I'm not the only one happy about U-Dub's monumental victory over UCLA.Well, monumental in the sense that they haven't beaten anyone else in the Pac-10 (outside of Arizona, who the Huskies play next) and it gives them a 3-1 record at this point which means they are halfway to a bowl game. infrared41
Notre Dame was all but done and then they went out (with help from MSU) and took back what was thiers: Brady Quinn's Heisman and a trip to the BCS Title Game. The only question is who will they play? I like your optimism but I think you're asking for an awful lot of things to happen. For Notre Dame to make the title game a bunch of higher ranked undefeated teams have to lose at least once. Some of them will definitely lose one but all of them? The Louisville/WVU winner is almost guaranteed an undefeated season. Then there's still that little matter of the USC game left on the Irish schedule. Bascially your only realistic hope for a title shot comes down to this. No one goes undefeated or Michigan either loses twice or is the only undefeated team left at the end of the year. Any one loss scenario involving Michigan kills your chances. You need to either start rooting against Michigan or root for them and root against everyone else. It's certainly possible but it's highly improbable at this point that Notre Dame plays for the title. They have a lot of climbing to do. Then again, stranger things have happened.Good luck...you're gonna need it.

And they tried to plant their flag at mid field. The only reason I like that (I'd normally hate it) is that State got a taste of their own medicine.Zook's going to turn this around. I called it before they hired him.Ron Zook? Not bad choice to me. Seems like a good chance for everyone. Zook keeps a big program without the pressures of following a legend, and Illinois gets a pretty good coach that is well liked by the players. From November 22, 2004
Fred T. Jane
Just wait until the Zooker goes off his rocker and confront an entire fraternity because they chanted what 90k other people were thinking... FIRE RON ZOOK! I, of course, have no clue why. I mean, he's such a clear thinker and all...I only get four hours of sleep a night. But I make it count, because sleeping four hours fast is just like sleeping eight hours. [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness.
