FiddySicks
OK so this may sound a bit crazy, but the Ducks are opening at home today vs Stanford and I gotta say, somehow the Ducks accually pulled it off to where the team really does look like those scary lookin robo duck pictures. Sepecially the players who are wearing the new style helmets (last years new style). I dunno about any of you, but if I was lined up behind center and I saw a bunch of space trooper lookin guys wanting to get to me, id prolly be a bit distracted. steiny_ramone
Perhaps that's the strategy behind the jerseys, then. Distraction. Who know's it could work. They may not be the the best esthetically(?), but strategically. facespace?http://www.myspace.com/seancalcottmusic http://www.myspace.com/forgottentoys

JohnnyFriedRice
the dark grey they have for the names on the back are too dark and hard to see on tv If they're so dark and hard to see, how come you noticed it?These uniforms suck. They look like something this guy would wear...I would not be at all surprised if The Humungus came off the bench in the fourth quarter and played a few downs at linebacker. winghaz
That funky pattern on the shoulders and near the knees ... does that have anything to do with the original pattern of Nike shoes and the Oregon connection to it? Or is it just some funky pattern?

Or is it just some funky pattern? It looks more like a diamond plate pattern than a waffle iron imprint to me, but I see what you're getting at. harperdc
it's just supposed to be diamond plate.to steal an old adage from auto racing - "winning cars are beautiful." if we go to more double-digit seasons and bowls while we wear the uniforms, nobody will care about the media opinion coming into the season, or how many different combinations there are - they'll just remember them as the jerseys we wore to greatness.I think they have jerseys like they wore today and the black ones for sale, but the green ones have 28 - Jonathan Stewart's numbers. J-Stew is a beast, and was in my PS class last winter. and, oh yeah, ran for over 100 yards in the first half.

lilgump
yes stewart (snoop) is a beast. Our team had the pleasure (pain) of being in the same league as him in high school. If he can stay healthy this year, the ducks shall be fairly good. The World Basketball Championship, the Davis Cup, Ryder Cup, Iraq: Every day there's further proof that we, as a nation, are not very good at international competition.
