I think the 'db' snake head logo on the sleeve should have replaced the 'D' snake logo on the alt cap.

The color scheme is alright. Looks much better used here than Houston. That black jersey is awesome. I'm not too fond of that "db" snake head logo though.

My main beef if the home jersey script using the abbreviated name "D-backs". I know the Blue "Jays" and the White "Sox" sort of do the same thing by not displaying the full name of the team, but in the case of the D-backs, they've shortened an actual word (though it is very appropriate that they use a diamond for the hyphen).

Seems like I'm in the minority here, but...what a downgrade.

Looks minor league to me. And the media constantly using the abbreviation "D-Backs" was bad enough; it's horrifying for me to see it on the actual unis.

Upon further review, an admittedly disjointed series of thoughts:

What was wrong with the old "A" logo?

The "db" logo is minor league.

How many logos do they need at once, anyway? Isn't three a bit ridiculous? No matter what sport, I hate teams using multiple logos/crests, i.e. the Ottawa Senators. Pick an identity and stick with it.

The old colors said "Arizona" to me much more than this set does. This is way too similar to the Astros, and the black uniform thing already got way out of hand many years ago.

Abbreviating on unis is just wrong. If you can't comfortably fit the team name on a jersey, just go with the logo, like they did previously.

I'm undecided on these. I love the look, but I wouldn't see it as an upgrade over Arizona's old look. They'd be an upgrade for several teams...but not the D-Backs. (The red hat is badass though.)

Its funny. I was absolutely in love with the idea of a brick red hat with the Snake logo on it, but now that ive seen the black hat, it looks just as good as the red one does to me. I cant wait to see these in action, as well as the BP set. I wonder whatll change at Chase Field....

And on the hats being wool, I bet that was just a mistake. If you look at the players modeling the new hats the underbill is black, just like the new hats.

I now have a new favorite baseball uniform. All of those looks are just simply classic. And that black jersey and hat are perfect. Also helps that black and red are by far my favorite colors, and make up about 97% of my wardrobe. A+, two thumbs up from me.
