Nervous One
They should switch back to these...The Dolphins SERIOUSLY need to get rid of the navy. It's too Jimmy Johnson for me. Hopefully Cameron brings back the aqua pants. The Phins' ideal combos are all-white at home and white/aqua on the road. I don't mind all-white, I just don't like seeing it all the time. (In the Saban era, the Phins wore all-white 29 out of 32 games). dutyfree
They should switch back to these...Not to hijack the thread, but notice how wonderful the Colts jersey is when the stripes go all the way to the arm pit, as intended. Are you telling me there is no way to construct these modern cut jerseys so that the stripes can encircle the sleeve.
Sport
The problem with their numbers is that they don't match anything on the rest of their uniforms. The pants stripe has a white seperation between the orange and teal and navy, and the helmet matches that. The numbers don't have that seperation so not only does it change the complection of the colors, it just looks out of place.
dirwuf
The Dolphins will never wear an aqua jersey at home for a day game. The white jersey gives them an advantage in the September and October heat of South Florida...Yeah, that aqua at home really hurt in the early 70's... NJTank
What can I say to argue that I do wish the Dolphins wore it more. I have always gone for the aqua jersey even my current Jason Taylor is aqua. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

Braden
Oh come on, if you were facing the Patriots or Bills in the Miami sun wouldn't you want to have them wear their dark blue jerseys in the sun all day?I like the drop-shadow, and I'll like it even better when they tone it down a bit. I love their jerseys.

Never seemed to hurt them in the 70s when they were a true powerhouse.Even back then the Dolphins typically wore white at home in September and through at least part of October for daytime games. However, they usually did wear the aqua for all home night games and switched to the aqua for all November/December home games and home playoff games.Interesting photo - Warfield is wearing one of the stripeless jerseys. I think that for a couple of years those stripeless jerseys were the mesh version and the striped ones were Durene (circa 1970-71). Even when they got mesh jerseys with stripes, some players perferred to wear the stripeless versions.

For the next decade they wore aqua for occasional day games (usually late starts) and always at night. Beginning in the early 80's, white was always worn, except for night games...with a couple of exceptions. The last time I reacall the fins wearing aqua at home for a non-night game was the 1994 playoff contest against the Chiefs (Joe Montana's final game)... Are you telling me there is no way to construct these modern cut jerseys so that the stripes can encircle the sleeve. They need to change their jersey template to the one that either the Chargers or Panthers use. Then the stripes will go around the shoulders better and not look like their just sitting up there.
patchs
As a Phin fan of 30+ years, personally, I like the jerseys they wore from 1994-96. The numbers were like the pre 1987 redesign and it had the logo on the sleeves.Still, the 1973-86 are my all-time favorite, guess it's what you grew up with. max
Maybe incorporate a giant mudstain into the next set? What colors do you associate with Dolphins? Teal, gray, blue? Next, what colors do you associated with South Florida? Bright Yellow for the sun, Tan for the beaches? How about teal and orange (to keep with Miami Dolphins tradition) with an addition of bright yellow? How many teams do you know that use bright yellow as a color? discount the Steelers, they'll be getting new unis soon.
