Cujo
It's gonna be a deal with the Giants involving Ray Durham and a reliever Jack Taschner. Brewers would give up Darren Ford and a couple other minor leaguers.Good call.Brewers deal for Giants second baseman DurhamBut where is he going to play?I thought Rickie Weeks had locked up 2BWeeks is batting .218 with 8 HRs on the year. I would imagine Durham was brought there to either push him or to eventually take his place at second base.

Durham has been hitting pretty well lately for the Giants, but really, don't expect a whole lot from him. He had to battle back this year just to earn the starting spot at 2nd for the Giants, and tends to get hurt way too often. Combine that with the way he tends to fall apart in the clutch and you're not getting much. ldswoosh33
Holliday's actually signed through '09, so that's a moot point. Why won't the Rox just sign Holliday? The Rockies management gets me frustrated a lot. We get talent and we just ship them off after a couple years. Theres no investment in the players we get. (besides Helton, but he is on his decline) Romans 5:8 NikoLazar.com

LMU
Trade rumor circulating now is Teixiera to the Halos for Robb Quinlin and Brandon Wood. I think that with both Quinlin and Wood, given a starting role, they'll both break out. Wood's problem is that they quickly bring him up, maybe play him in one or two games, then send him back down without him getting any consistant playing time. This could help the Braves more down the line (i.e. Chipper's age) and could prove that the Braves are (sadly) sellers this year. Plainsman Parking Lot. Drew22
These next 5 weeks will make or break the Braves season. If they can win this series against the Marlins, and then the Phils, they could have a shot at the playoffs. Hotlanta wouldn't want to take Sgt. HGH, would they?Kotchman isn't likely to play third since he's left-handed. I think Teixeria will DH and split time at first with Kotchman. The Angels are one of the few teams that I'm not against making a trade like this. I'm not crazy about it but I think they can handle the change. I'm never big on messing with the chemistry of a winning team. All roads lead to Dollar General.

They really need to dump an OF in Anaheim, since, well, Juan Rivera is a huge offensive weapon, assuming they use him regularly.
