It will be the fourth jersey look for the franchise.The article also mentions the team hopes to unveil the uniforms later this summer, but they may not be ready until next season.Wearing pinstripes at home for the 20th anniversary is a nice touch -- almost every Magic fan I know prefers the iconic, pinstriped look from the team's heyday -- but it's a silly one if they plan to just wear black on the road. They should use pinstripes on both uniforms or not use pinstripes at all, just for consistency's sake. For what it's worth, I love the team's current, simplified look. I'd rather the team celebrate its anniversary by wearing a patch on their jerseys (as the Lakers, Pistons, and Heat did last season) or by placing a commemorative logo at center court (as the Pistons did last season). These are the matchups, I guess they aren't playing any European teams? Yeah, which means we might not see any special unis this year. I think teams only do that for when they play against Euro clubs. The Wolves and Celtics just wore regular unis with a patch when they played in London, they broke out the special editions when playing Euro teams. Pinstripes look great on classic teams--the Pacers looked great in them, as did the Bulls' alt. The Charlotte Hornets looked ok, as did the Magic. But, they were too new of teams to don the pinstripes--pinstripes are for the veterans, IMO. Gotta earn your stripes. Chiefster2000 Posted July 27, 2008 Share Posted July 27, 2008 Some strong rumors going around that the Nuggets, Timberwolves, Magic, Kings, and Hornets, will get getting new uniforms this upcoming season along plus with the Bucks getting a new alternate design.Anybody heard anything else on this?!The Nuggets, Bucks, and Magic will stay the same My guess is the Timberwolves, Kings, and Hornets jerseys will change somewhat.
