Joshawaggie
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3455201This could have gone on forever, but the ump finally had to interject. Kind of amusing.. @josh_j12 CFA- Fargo Bobcats
FiddySicks
They had this story on sportscenter last season when he was pitching for Creighton. They even showed his specially made glove he had. Pretty cool. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
gingerbreadmann
Wow, I've always wondered what it would be like to have a Switch Pitcher. I can't wait to watch this.

Cujo
Just think if these two make it the majors this will happen again in the Subway Series. And if these two make it to the majors, nobody outside of New York will give a rat's ass.

njmeadowlanders
It'll make a nice story the first time that guy faces ANY switch hitter, regardless of what team he's on or facing. After that, it'll go by the wayside, and nobody will care... whalersjets
I always wanted to be a switch pitching, submarine knuckleball pitcher. Then I stopped playing baseball.
winghaz
I would have loved to have been at the ballpark for that one.And I'll bet the umpires had a chuckle over it after the game.
Shumway
If only Randy Savage were catching, then we'd have an ambitextrous catcher as well. (Note: he was a minor league catcher with the ChiSox and Cards who, after injuring his right(throwing) arm, switched to throwing left.)
mantleisthebest7
I'm my baseball teams sole switch hitter and so I know what that's like. But man if you could be a switch pitcher...imagine the stuff you could do with a batter! You'd really mess with his head for sure! Man that would be way cool. I hope this guy makes the majors, I really want to see him pitch. Jimmy Eat World
The Nation
There used to be an ambi pitcher for the Expos, can't remember his name.

CC97
I'm pretty sure this was already news last year, and it came to the exact same resolution...edit... AP Article April 27, 2006"The rules require Venditte to declare which way he's going to pitch before each batter steps into the box. If a switch hitter is due up, pitching coach Travis Wyckoff will signal to Venditte which arm to use based on the scouting report." --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram
Frenchie
Interesting... I just noted this weekend playing with my son (5 y.o. pictured in my Avatar) that he can also throw a baseball as well from either hand... Maybe it's time to experiment... @Frenchie_TO Owner of the Rochester Americans of the MLH Owner of the Toronto Frenchies of the GCFHL6
kewp80
This happened before in the Appalachian League back in the day between the Kingsports Braves and Elizabethton Twins. Pitcher kept switching arms while the batter kept switching sides. Finally the ump told the batter to pick a side. He chose rightie and the pitcher was able to get him out pitching from the right side. Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool Check out my music! gueman
Perhaps the rule should be modified to this. The visiting team player must declare what his intentions are first. Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys. P. J. O'Rourke
hecticbro
I taught myself to be able to deliver an accurate pitch from either side when I was younger, but I didn't really have much velocity left-handed. Anyway, if someone like me can figure it out, I'm surprised there aren't a lot of guys in the majors that can do this.
NJTank
I thought there was a rule that the pitcher can only change once per batter. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
philly97flyer
ESPN will show itESPN would show it because it would be New York. Just like Boston. If it happened in a game between the Royals and Twins, forget about it. ESPN is a biased joke. Thank God NHL Network came along.
