What was your first pro game ever attended, where was it, who played, and what was the outcome?

Do it by league, however big or small, whatever.

MLB - A's vs Orioles, 1998 (Don't remember the exact date, but it was the day mcGwire was traded). A's lost 1-0 I think.

NFL - AFC vs NFC 2001 Pro Bowl. AFC won. Regular season, 2002 Raiders vs 49ers. 49ers won.

NHL - Sharks vs Avalanche, Sharks won like 7-6 or something.

REGULAR SEASON

NFL: Saints vs. Rams, Week 17, 2000 NFL Season (Yeah, I know, a Falcon fan's first game is a Saints game at the Superdome. Go figure.)

NBA: Hawks game in 2002 (the playoff-guarantee year...Lord that was a terrible idea.)

NHL: Thrashers game in 2004

MLB: Braves game in 2001

PLAYOFFS

NFL: Falcons vs. Rams 2004 Divisional Playoffs (Still the most fun I've had at a pro sports game ever.)

NBA: Hawks vs. Celtics 2007 1st Round: Game 3 (Considering how sucky the Hawks have been, one of the most surreal moments as an Atlanta sports fan)

MLB: Braves vs. Cubs 2003 Divisional Playoffs (Even though I'm mad that there were more Cubs fans there. Wow.)

NFL: Oakland Raiders vs. Buffalo Bills, December 5, 1993

MLB: Anaheim Angels vs. New York Yankees, Summer 1998

NBA: Boston Celtics vs. Washington Wizards, October 31, 2002 (Opening night!)

NHL: Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Tampa Bay Lightning, December 31, 2001

Since then, I've seen multiple teams in multiple arenas/stadia for every sport except the NHL.

NFL: October 1, 1995 Bengals vs Dolphins Riverfront Stadium. 23-26 loss.

NHL: October 7, 2000 Blue Jackets vs Blackhawks Nationwide Arena. First ever Blue Jackets game, a 5-3 loss after being up 3-0.

MLB: September 6, 1996 Reds vs. Giants Riverfront Stadium. Second game of a doubleheader, Reds win 14-1.

NBA: March 31, 1995 Suns vs. Timberwolves. The Suns won that's all I remember. I couldn't find the score on basketball reference.

NFL: Lions vs. Buccaneers - week 7 of last season. Amazingly, my first Lions game was actually a win, and probably the best team they beat all season. The final was 23-16. We sat in the corner, and were lucky enough to have most of the big plays towards our corner, including Calvin Johnson's beautiful end around, where he stiff-armed LB Cato June, made Safety Tanard Jackson miss, then broke the tackle of Barrett Ruud on his way to the endzone. Probably the most exciting play I have seen in person, in any sport.

NBA: Pistons vs. Bucks Round 1 game 2 2006. Nothing too exciting, as it was an easy win for the Pistons, which was never really close.

First pro sports event ever attended:

CBA - Alberta Dusters at Anchorage Northern Knights - 1981 - Alberta won, but I couldn't tell you the final score, and the program from that game is packed away somewhere...

Others:

MLB: Baltimore at Seattle, 1982 - Baltimore won 8-1

NFL: L.A. Raiders at Seattle, 1987 - the infamous Bo/Boz game

NHL: Calgary at Vancouver, 1988 - Calgary won 6-5

NBA: Not sure of this one, I think it was a Houston-Seattle matchup in 1986 or 1987

FIRST EVER: MLB, Pirates v. Cubs (I think), spring of 2000.

NHL: forget whom it was against, but I know it was the last game of the season in 2001 (the last year we made it to the playoffs until to years ago, the year lemieux came back).

NFL: would be a year ago next week. I forget the exact day. It was a preseason game agains the Eagles. The night of the last day of summer (for me). We won, but that didnt help me wake up at 5:30 the next morning for probably only the second time in my life after already staying up until midnight.

PLAYOFFS: NHL. Pens/Senators, game 4, april 2007.

PLAYOFFS SERIES WINNING GAME: NHL Pens/Rangers, game 5, may 2008

CHAMPIONSHIP (game): NHL. Pens/Redwings, game 3, june 2008 (though you can argue that the game of the flyers series I went to was)

CHAMPIONSHIP (win): NHL. Pens/Redwings, game 6, june 2008. Obviously, we lost (Its a long story on my theory why...but for some reason I felt no sadness whatsoever that night...I just felt absolute emptiness...and what a wierd feeling of emptiness that was...)

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Pitt v. I forget who... first Pitt game ever at Heinz Field, fall 2001

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Pitt v. Oakland University (i think that was the name), late fall 2006

Pittsburgh Arsenal - Elite Football League (NFL) - est. 2006

MLB: Game 4 1999 NLDS ARZ @ NYM (Mets 4, Diamondbacks 3 (10 Innings) - October 9, 1999 - Todd Pratt Series Winning HR B 10 off Matt Mantei)

MLB: Montreal @ Atlanta, 7/11/91, Montreal won 11-2. It only stands out because I was laughing at Oil Can Boyd's .100 batting average. 7-year-old kids didn't notice it was the pitcher batting when they see such a low batting average.

MLB Playoffs: San Francisco @ Atlanta 2002, Game 2, Braves won 7-2. It was a cool night. And Bonds hit a ball off Smoltz late in the game that still hasn't landed.

NFL: Philadelphia @ Atlanta 9/12/05, Falcons won 14-10. The season opener on MNF, a rematch of the NFC Championship Game....those were the days....

NFL Playoffs: None

NBA: Charlotte @ Atlanta 4/28/98, Hawks won 96-64 in Game 3 of the first round. The game was so out of hand that both team brought in their scrub white guys for the last 6 minutes of the game. It felt weird watching a basketball game in a footbal stadium.

NHL: New Jersey @ Atlanta, sometime in Spring 2003, Devils won 2-1.

NHL Playoffs: NY Rangers @ Atlanta, Game 1 2007, Rangers won 4-3. Most energy I've ever felt in the building, prior to last season's Hawks playoff games.

NHL Playoffs: Flames 4-0 Canucks Quarterfinals first home playoff win of what was to be the one of the greatest runs in NHL Playoff history

NFL: Packers vs. Seahawks 2008 NFC Divisional Playoffs best game i've ever seen in person Pack won 42-20

MLB: July 14th 2006 Mariners 5-3 Blue Jays

FIFA: FIFA Under 20 World Cup, Austria 1-0 Canada in Edmonton on July 5th 2007
