The Sun Bowl was amazing....

Oregon State pitching a shutout was more amazing. That same defense gave up 60+ to Oregon at the end of the season.....

Just further proof that Dave Wandstat is complete trash.

Pitt has no passing threat at all, their top 2 qb's stink and if they get a pass near a wr they drop it 70% of the time.

Remember Wanstache is rebuilding the program from scratch, previous HC Walt Harris neglected both lines when recruiting his last few years(remember Pitt giving up 200 yards rushing to average running backs) and pissed off the few big donors Pitt has. The Stache has improved the defense big time, he is great at raising money for the program, the offense besides McCoy isn't great but he is stuck with Matt Cavanaugh as OC and I have a feeling that Cav will be gone pretty soon.

Also Pitt is a small school undergrad wise and doesn't have all of the things the football factory schools have when it comes to helping land recruits and taking care of them when they get to school.

I was wondering...is firing him at this point justified?

Oh and, props to the Big XII for...demonstrating that they are an elite band of paper tigers.

Lessee....OSU lost

Nebraska is losing Clemson sucks. :P

Missouri needed a late comeback to beat Northwestern in OT

At least Kansas massacred a Minnesota team that has been backsliding since midseason.

EDIT-WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Thanks for nothing MSU and Penn State. The Big Ten is looking great as usual. How in the world did Iowa beat the daylights out of South Carolina? Take heart Big Ten fans, there is one last chance at redemption. All we need is for Ohio State to beat Texas.

For my money USC is the best team in college football right now. I'd bet them to beat anyone.

As someone who's watched the Rose Bowl since like '82, can we please release the Big 10 out of the contract and replace them with a real league like the Mountain West or WAC? These guys show up time and again, and by halftime, they show they don't belong. Then again can we kick the Big 10 out of the BCS as they've shown in season and in the bowls year in and year out that they don't belong. I said it a few months ago and I was ripped about how I thought MAC, Mountain West, and Big West teams should be allowed into the BCS because they beat the big boys enough to play. Well let me amend that and ask, can we kick the Big 10 out? Can we relegate them to DII status, oh wait, they'd get their butts kicked there, let's relegate them to NAIA status where they can compete. The Big 10 is a joke of a football conference. They talk like they matter and they don't. They remind me of the other big joke in sports, the Oakland Raiders. You use to be good, but you're far from your glory status. Either step up and play with the big boys, or go home.

Do you honestly think :censored:-ing Buffalo would have fared better against USC than Penn State is? If you do then you're more delusional than your posts already indicate.

But in the interest of fairness let's have a look at The MAC, WAC, Mountain West, and Big West so far in the bowls...

The Big West has no bowl teams. That was easy...

Central Michigan got beat by that perennial powerhouse Florida Atlantic.

Western Michigan got pounded by the Rice Owls.

Air Force lost to the world beating Houston Cougars.

Highly ranked BYU lost to Pac 10 also ran Arizona...by 10 points.

Hawaii got smoked by a 6-6 Notre Dame team that couldn't beat Syracuse...at home.

Boise State lost to TCU. Call it a wash.

Louisiana Tech squeaked by The Mighty Northern Illinois Huskies.

Nevada lost to Maryland from the ACC. The same ACC that probably doesn't deserve a BCS bid this season.

I could go on but I think I've made my point. Yeah your guys are really showing the big boys how it's done.

The Big Ten on the other hand has lost to Kansas, Florida State, Georgia, all teams that are usually pretty good lately. Oh, and Iowa kicked the :censored: out of South Carolina.

So can we get rid of the Big Ten? Sure. No problem. Will you and your stupid argument go away now? At least the Big Ten is losing to schools people have heard of.

Oh and the Big 10 did what? Oh yeah that's right, their only win was over an average South Carolina team. The fact of the matter is and you can't handle it because you are a Big 10 honk, is that the rest of the nation has passed the Big 10 by and the Big 10 doesn't matter anymore. Oh forgive me, if the Big 10 doesn't matter and is a weak conference that kills your pride because your little team there plays in a weak conference and is irrelevant. Admit it, the Big 10 is irrelevant. Again, your big win is.... oh yeah Iowa over an average South Carolina. If Penn State is your best, you don't belong. Do I think that Buffalo would be SC? No, but at least they'd show up. Oh at least the Big 10 are a bunch of losers that people have heard of. The fact of the matter your argument about this school losing to that school kills your argument. You use Notre Dame... um who beat Michigan and Purdue. I'm not just saying comparing USC to other teams, I'm comparing the league as a whole. Of course you can't admit that Indiana, Purdue, Northwestern, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Michigan State are average at best programs. Sure you have Ohio State and then...? Again, they are an overrated conference. How do you know, look at the bowl record. The Big 10 just doesn't belong. Seriously, your argument is Iowa beating Steve Spurrier and South Carolina? Really? That's a horrible program. Spurrier can't even stick with one quarterback. If this was the mid '90's and he was at Florida, you might have an argument, but South Carolina? If you want to say it's Ohio State and the rest of the conference, fine. When Ohio State comes out here and get pounded by SC and then Penn State who again was suppose to be the best (?) and then you go 1 for 5 or whatever in the bowls, please tell me why the Big 10 is relevant? When it comes to stepping up for big games, we know the Big 10 won't. You're just like the Raider fans, you think you're relevant and think it's 1970, it's not. The time has passed you by, and it's so sad to see that you can't deal with it.

And to think the Big Ten got two BCS Bowls.

I can see the same thing happening to Ohio State in the Fiesta, that happened to Penn State in the Rose.

Will you shut up? I don't know if you're a Pac-10 fanboy or just a USC fanboy but if you didn't know the Pac-10 is pretty :censored:-tastic itself outside of USC (I'm talking sub-Big East here) and USC is still probably the best team in the country. People aren't trying to pimp the Big 10 here and Penn St. is still damn good no matter what you say. The second half wasn't as ugly as the first. Regardless, all you do is bitch about things. I don't think Infrared was trying to say the Big 10 is an elite conference this year.

Iowa was probably one of the 5 or 6 best teams in the country over the second half of the season IMO. Shonn Greene was ridiculous. Probably saved Ferentz' job.

Personally I wish we could have gotten an Iowa-Ole Miss game. The "late bloomer Bowl".

Oh, and the Big Ten went 31-21 in Non-Conference, Ohio State-Texas pending. While it went 5-16 against its fellow BCS members, it went 26 and :censored: ing 5 against its non-BCS foes. So Oddball, STFU, please.

The PAC-10 and the guys in the red blazers who run the Rose Bowl should tell the Big Ten and BCS to screw off and invite the best team East of the Rockies, basically go back to how it was before the 1950's.

And that team says "Thanks, but we're playing in the National Championship game."
