FiddySicks
went to the Emerald Bowl this year, it was a pretty awesome game. Cal's starting QB Nate Longshore looked like crap all day, missing passes by yards rather than inches. But he completely saved face by tossing a last second TD to win it for the Bears 24-17. Good game. BTW I absolutely loved AT&T Park for football. It was a bit quirky, but the view of both the field and the scenery was fantastic!!!Going to the Rose Bowl tomorrow. That's gonna be a blast. I'll post pics from it as soon as I can. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) infrared41
Vandy Wins! Here's hoping they improve next season and actually get to leave Davidson County for a bowl! One step at a time dude. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. The next we know you'll be wanting to leave the state or something. Great win for the program. That game was a perfect example of why I do not think there are "too many bowl games."

gingerbreadmann
God damn it, that was such a stupid game. You outscore the opponent by 132 yards while holding them to under 200 and no touchdowns, you expect to win, right? Well not with bonehead playcalling by a guy who is usually pretty smart, but failed to realize that our real QB went down a month ago and kept trying to call Matt Ryan plays for a young inconsistent freshman against a good defense and failed to incorporate the dynamic duo of running backs so that fourth downs were wasted and bad passes were everywhere all day. And of course it doesn't help when you somehow get grazed by a punt coming to you and it somehow rolls into the endzone for a touchdown for the other team, plus you get penalized for a horses**t roughing the passer call to set up the winning field goal. Plus, they looked completely flat. The coaches in general (except Spaz) for whatever reason didn't have the troops ready for battle. Plop, no more streak and an embarrassing bowl loss to an inferior team. But, Vandy doesn't care, so good for you Vandy. Makes for a good story of course. (Just ask Lou Holtz, lol)Side Note: With GT down by 18, the ACC is really embarrassing itself in bowls thus far.

I don't think bowl games give points for yardage either. I think they only count actual points scored. If BC went into the game expecting to win on yardage that may have been part of the problem. lbr218
I never thought I would say this, but I am officially embarrassed to be a Tech fan! Tee hee I'm just kidding but this game is embarrassing. This Jordan Jefferson kid for LSU looks pretty good.I thought it was going to be a good close game. Not so much. And yeah, the Jefferson kid looks pretty good. I think this game is a pretty good illustration of just how good The SEC really is. LSU looked very average during conference play. They look pretty damned solid tonight. I know anything can happen in a bowl game and they aren't necessarily an indicator of the regular season but Tech just looks completely out of their league against LSU. DEAD!
BTW I absolutely loved AT&T Park for football. It was a bit quirky, but the view of both the field and the scenery was fantastic!!!If they designed the outfield differently, particularly the right field area, it would be a better suited for football. I happen to like the football configuration for Fenway Park. I saw, I came, I left.

slapshot
6. The stadium doesn't even bother to pain over the NFL resident's logos in the end zones and walls.7. The bowl is owned by ESPN8. You'd rather watch a rerun of "Law & Order" than the bowl game, even if your favorite school is playing in it.
