KevinMcD
Why do the few MLB games I go to always have the worst pitching matchups? Jason Berken (1-5) vs. Brett Cecil (2-1) tomorrow. Both have a 6+ ERA, and I would rather see any current Orioles starter start over him. Guthrie, Bergesen, Hill or Tillman (Probably will be called up next week)At least it should be a high scoring game.Well maybe the baseball gods will give you a pitchers duel instead.I would enjoy a 1-0 CG SHO compared to a 14-12 home run derby. We will see, I just hope the O's win!
njmeadowlanders
This is pretty cool, and it kind of reminded me of Joel Youngblood collecting 2 hits for 2 teams in 2 cities on the same day...http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...sp&c_id=mlb"HOUSTON -- Pirates right-hander Joel Hanrahan was hanging out with teammate Adam LaRoche on Thursday afternoon in Philadelphia when he joked, "Well, it's time to get to work."LaRoche didn't know what Hanrahan was talking about until the latter told LaRoche that he was the pitcher of record on May 5, when the game between the Nationals and Astros at Nationals Park was halted because of rain in the bottom of the 11th inning with the score tied at 10. Hanrahan was playing for Washington at the time.Hanrahan also told LaRoche that play would resume between the clubs on Thursday evening at Minute Maid Park with Washington as the home team. Before the game, Hanrahan received several text messages from his former Nationals teammates telling him, "Good luck today."The game resumed with Washington winning, 11-10, in 11 innings." Sums up the Nationals "competitiveness" for each game this year.
Cujo
After going down 7-0 thru five, the Marlins have put up two unanswered touchdowns to take a 14-7 lead on the D-Backs in the 8th. Yikes!
tBBP
If this does happen--and I have absolutely no reason to believe that it won't--then it will be yet the latest (but certainly not the last) reason why the Pirates will continue to suck for all of remaining suckdom.Pirates looking to trade Freddy Sanchez... *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||

Yikes! It just occurred to me that it's been 6 years since the Marlins out of the blue championship in 2003 which was 6 years after their out of the blue championship in 1997. So, don't be surprised when the Marlins win the world series this year.

I'd call the deal a push for both teams.Looks like the Nats-Mets trade 2 years back can be considered a minor victory for the Mets (maybe a push).Milledge and Church are now on other teams and Schneider is back from the DL, then again what Met isn't on the DL

JayJaxon
Well ESPN has nothing on the Franceour/Church deal so far. But it will be interesting so see why either team will make that deal seeing as it really doesn't improve either team.
