They'd likely want some combination of three of Kyle Drabek, Michael Taylor, JA Happ, Carlos Carrasco, John Mayberry, Jason Donald, et al.

Nobody's beating down the door for Mayberry. You forgot Marson and Dom Brown...

Hahah, I forgot the Phills have a prospect with my name.

Going to the Jays vs Rays game tonight, I guess without BJ Ryan.

Also I really hope that the Jays keep Halladay.

Just got a text alert from TSN saying the Blue Jays have released BJ Ryan.

good bleeping riddance.

I think Ryan still has something to offer to the right team. I would rather have him right now than a couple of Braves relievers ;)

Is this the same John Mayberry who played for the Cardinals and Cubs? If so then yeah, I thought he'd have washed out by now.

This is why the 2009 Atlanta Braves are one of the biggest teases in baseball...they'll lose 2 out of 3 against the Nats, then come back and win 2 out of 3 against the Cubs. I thoroughly expect to be disappointed after their next series against the Rockies. :P

No, it's the Rangers first round bust who was dealt to the Phils last offseason for Greg Golson.

Oh I don't know about that. The Blue Jays bullpen is horrible this year. BJ Ryan's ERA was above 8! I'm glad he's gone, although they still owe him 15 million dollars. At least now they wont feel like they have to put him into games.

And he's playing pretty well in his first ML season, platooning with Matt Stairs to fill in for the injured Raul Ibanez.

To the Rockies' credit, they're a good team that no one's talking about.

I'd be happy with a split at Coors Field.....

He's 3 for his last 27 with 13 Ks

Everyone in the NL East that counts (sorry Nats) won today. Shane with the walkoff single. VOTE FOR SHANE!

That's John Mabry... :P

And the Rangers are all alone in first again.

If this domination of the Angels continues, the division looks in reach. 7-2 through the first three series. Interleague is over, Los Angeles.

(of Anaheim)

I don't know why the Angels just come out flat against Texas. The past two series they won the first game in great fashion and proceeded to piss away the final two games in each series.

Interleague - Great domination

The rest of the American league - Good, getting some streaks together. win 2 of 3 in almost every series.

It doesn't make sense including the fact that the Angels owned Texas last year in the same fashion the Rangers are doing to the Angels this year.

And personally I don't much stake in this game today. Guerrero and Hunter were both out. This was Ervin Santana's 2nd start coming off of an injury (and he didnt look great in his first start back). Santana should have been pulled after the 2nd Jones home run. It was very clear to everyone in my general vicinity that he didn't have it today and we were all calling Scioscia to pull him (I hate how loyal and trusting he is with our pitchers. Some confidence, great. Too much, bad).

Enjoy it while it lasts Texas. It's a one-game lead in early July. There is a lot of season ahead of us. And looking at the schedule, there is a huge 4-game series against Texas in Anaheim in the final week of the season. I have a feeling this whole thing might just come down to that (And I have tickets for 3 of the 4 games. Excited)

Also, what's up with Andruw Jones? 3 home runs today? That equaled his entire total from last season with the Dodgers (to which some Dodger fans in my area could be audibly heard griping about. :P After I stopped caring about the score and accepted the loss, this tided me over quite well for the rest of the game. Well that and my lemon icee  )

And by the time the weekend is over, Texas won't have the Angels to worry about.... After coming up flat against the O's (damn birds), the AL West leading Texas Strangers comes to Safeco for four games.

Oh, and the M's are 4.5 games back. Imagine if Texas got swept out of town? That lead would turn into a .5 game lead and Texas will start to panic.

Please do it

I just hope the Angels keep pace with whatever happens up there. The Halos have 3 games with the Yanks (who they always play well against).

And I forgot about the Mariners, they can still make this race very interesting.

I like it. It's been a few years since we had a good, exciting, multi-team race to the finish in the AL West.

Why do the few MLB games I go to always have the worst pitching matchups? Jason Berken (1-5) vs. Brett Cecil (2-1) tomorrow. Both have a 6+ ERA, and I would rather see any current Orioles starter start over him. Guthrie, Bergesen, Hill or Tillman (Probably will be called up next week)

At least it should be a high scoring game.

Well maybe the baseball gods will give you a pitchers duel instead.
