J.A. Happ shouldn't be. The Rookie of the Year should be playing every day, not just every five days.

Why should the Rookie of the Year award go to some batter who can only hit once every 3 at bats? They fail more than they succeed.

If Happ is in the discussion, so should Tommy Hanson.

Nobody said he wasn't.

Dont worry the Nats will win their next three games, and will allow the Mets only 2 runs in 3 games.

and that is tnak about to jump off the bridge

and can the freaking Tigers win some games lately? :cursing:

Plus, he plays on your favorite team...so he's obviously a better choice. :P

To: The Chicago Cubs,

Please appreciate these 4 wins we'll be gift wrapping for you over this weekend series in your pursuit of the National League Central Division title or the Wild Card (whatever is more suitable) and your quest to finally win a World Series title. We thank your club for coming to town and allowing local Cubbie fans in the DC-VA-MD area to show their support and buy tickets to these games while outnumbering the Nationals fans in the stadium. It was pleasure doing business with you and we look forward to next year where we offer your club and fans to same treatment.

Sincerely,

The Washington Nationals

Dear Nationals,

Speaking on behalf of the millions and millions of Cubs fans nationwide, I would like to thank the Expos Nationals for laying down and playing the bitch to our beloved Cubbies this past weekend in D.C.. We feel it is because of you that the Cubs have turned their season around, thus propelling themselves into second place in the National League Central, only 2 games back of first place St. Louis. Thanks again for the fine hospitality, and we shall meet again next month en route to our first World Championship in 101 years!

Signed,

Cubs Nation

Dear Chicago Cubs,

Congratulations! After sweeping the Nationals you're now the favorite in the National League!

Many thanks,

Sports Center

Colby Rasmus, rookie centerfielder from the Cardinals, is at least in the discussion. Haven't checked too recently, but of rookie batters, Colby was far and away the best in the production categories.

But Hanson's been great and so has Haap lately. And I believe there are some other batters coming on strong lately too.

I figured I'd look closer at it in September, but since we're talking about it, who else are the candidates?

Boy, them Pirates...them daggone Pittsburgh Pirates.

Choose which version of this story you wish to read: ESPN's, or the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's.

The basic gist? The Pirates done cut off contract extension talks with Jack Wilson and Freddy Sanchez (so what else is new?). Doesn't take a magnifying glass to see where this one is going...

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

I'm still mad that Nomo won Rookie of the Year in 1995 when Chipper Jones had such a great Rookie Season. But who from the NL is really coming through as rookies other than Happ and Hanson?

Um, hello. Pablo Sandoval, maybe?

You may want to check Kung Fu Panda's eligibility, hoss.

As much as I hate to say it, Colby Rasmus has to be the choice right now. However, things can (and hopefully will) change.

Yes, we are all still Cardinals.

Which begs the question: Why even have pro baseball in Pittsburgh?

Because you need to fill that spring to summer void with something.

PNC Park. Other than that, the Pirates would've been gone years ago, IMO. Didn't they almost move to Sacramento in the mid '90's?
