You know you're a sports logo/uniform nerd when...

You know you're a sports logo/uniform nerd when you frequent sites like this and Uniwatch and think that Paul Lukas is a hero.

You know you're a sports logo/uniform nerd when you frequent sites like this and Uniwatch and know enough to realize that Paul Lukas doesn't really know as much as he thinks, has pretty bizarre taste and isn't really the best representative of the uni-philes out there.

Amen. Paul has a bad habit of being incredibly preachy about what he believes (no purple, no Nike, etc.) and it's really freakin' annoying after a while because he can be really dissenting towards anyone who has different opinions towards unis.

You know you're a logo/uni nerd when you pass someone wearing a backwards MLB cap and you turn around when they pass you to see which team is on the front. Or maybe you don't even need to do that; you can tell which team it is from the coloring of the MLB logo :D

...when you have dreams about your favorite teams unveiling new uniforms, which you then critique in your dream.

In my dream, UNC's football team revealed that they would be changing their uniforms to the same template that Miami currently wears. My dream reaction was mixed:

Bad: switching to a template used by an in-conference rival, which is just in bad taste. Plus, the Miami template didn't work nearly as well for UNC as it did Miami.

Good: got rid of the stupid "squirt" stripe on UNC's current uniforms.

Better: brought back the Carolina blue pants for road uniforms after a one-year hiatus.

Talking to one of my girl friends...

Her-"Why are the Rays wearing red hats?"

Me-"A promotion by the MLB that makes teams wear patriotic stuff"

Her-"Alright, Jeez you know everything....they really clash with heir jerseys"

Going to a memorial day cookout where the Red Sox game is on a small tv outside and saying "God, those Twins throwbacks are freakin' divine" and having no one care.

I did that today at our river artsfest maybe 10 times. I'd guess what team it was then turn to check haha.

But, ...when you're at a game and get annoyed by the people with "authentic" jerseys with the wrong number and name font.

Some I can remember.

I have an inside joke with some friends/board members about saying "NIKE PIPING SUCKS!" to girls when nervous.

My health teacher has mini pennants in his classroom, and I get distracted looking at them. He has an NFL set pre new Browns, and Texans, the Oilers were also there. The MLB ones had the gradient Rays logo, and the NBA has the late 90s Cavs, and Sonics.

Love that class.

Yes! I constantly do this. At least once, a friend that I was walking with has said "Dude, were you looking at that guy's butt?" Lol awkward.

How about knowing exactly what video you're talking about just from that description?

My fiancé while watching the Lions preseason game: "Did the Lions use a new font on their uniforms this year?"

Me: "My god I love you!"

I refuse to buy replica jerseys for the Cavs because they don't have the stripes going down the side on the white and wine jerseys, and the navy doesn't have the pattern design at all. I won't wear an Indians jersey unless Chief Wahoo is stitched on the sleeve. And I refuse to buy any orange clothing for the Browns.

Also when people see I'm a Browns fan, they always say to me "Yeah, they don't even have a logo," and I usually correct them and say that they have the Brownie Elf and the Dawg as their logos, and they look at me weird, or they say "What are you talking about? They don't have anything on their helmets."

I also don't buy any jerseys on Ebay from Asia or if they look suspicious, because I hate those fake jerseys, they have so many minor errors and they look tacky to me. Whenever I see someone wearing one of those jerseys at games, I think to myself "That guy is cheap...I wonder if he realizes how off his jersey is?"

I always like seeing people's caps (backward or forward) in places like big cities or airports because it's usually an indication of where they're from (except for Yankees, Cubs or Redsox caps; those are only sometimes true due to overexposure to ESPN and bandwagoning).

You'll see a fair few Seattle Mariners fans from the Pacific Northwest, from down in Oregon across Idaho into Montana.

Oh and I'm a sports logos / uni nerd because I judge people who are too cheap to buy their club's match jersey and who only wear the training shirt (this is soccer I'm talking about).
