Your Favorite "Old" Concept

I've seen this on here before, but I've never got to participate. Go as far back in your photobucket/folder/whatever as you can and bring back your favorite concept from back in day. Include the date and inspirtaion if you can!

My Favorite Sig:

I like to think that I started the trend of the partial logo signature, I did 100 by 100 squares of logos and then started doing the same thing except with players and what not.

My Two Favorite Concepts:

An old school Bills concept. Never got any love for it but it was my first true "complete" concept.

An insane Cardinals alternate. I loved the way they used the flag as a logo so I just went crazy with it.

It's nice to do this every once in a while. For me, I think I am most proud of two signature series I put together. This is mainly due to the fact that I created both templates that are the basis for them. These were pretty popular for a little while, and the good thing about them is they can never really be outdated.

I tied for 2nd in a contest a few years ago with the only concept I ever did that received any praise. Of course this was when we had way fewer good designers and more tolerance for sloppiness out of people like myself.

I think I've posted these in a similar thread before, but I may as well post them again.

Firstly, here's a Red Wings third jersey I cobbled together a couple of years ago:

Looking back at it, the jersey design itself is kind of bland, but I really liked the logo mash-up I threw together for the crest.

And here's a more recent Ducks third jersey design:

This of course came about when discussion began on the Edge third jerseys introduced last summer. I personally dreaded (and still do dread) the idea of the Ducks going with an orange jersey, especially with their awkward colour scheme. This concept isn't really anything special, since I went with a more traditional look, and I based the striping on the black third jersey the Ducks had before their identity overhaul.

This was one of my first. And yea it is out of the box, but it could work. They are turtles for God's sake! And a turtle has it's own helmet!

This was my Ravens concept, I really dig how it came out.

Another over the top helmet that could very well work!

And I always liked this Orioles set I did.

Alright, I'm going waaaay back for this one. Back before I even knew this place existed. I'm not even sure how old this is, but I'm pretty certain this was my first computer-made concept, and I've always been fond of it. It's very crude, but hey, it was my first attempt. Some of the many reasons that Discrim is a must view designer around here. You just have to click to view a thread with a Discrim design in it! You KNOW its going to be original.

I'll bite, again..

Hard to believe this one was almost two years ago.. there's an updated script floating around but it doesn't have any watermarks so I'll skip it.. This as you can see is a Nats concept, there was really no inspiration, they just needed an overhaul. I wanna thank Ballwonk, and a few others, for their outstanding critiques to make this a good concept.

This one is fairly newer, but still one of my favorites. I have a few updates in mind for this but haven't gotten enough time to implement them. As you can see, it's a new crest for the US Soccer Teams.

Wow I am really enjoying this thread. My favorites-

Biltz's Bills redesign: That primary is a really good attempt at modernizing that stagnant looking bull

and quesman's O's jerseys: very clean very simple and and that type face with its curls and waves is fun but professional as well.

cant wait to see more (no matter how embarrasing they can be haha)
