JQK
Heatley's plea was finally answered. That's a killer deal for the Sharks (or at least a deal for a killer)! Clearly, Heatley had just hit the wall in Ottawa (much like the one he hit in Atlanta). This made me giggle.Does anyone think the Devils still have a shot at getting Marleau? Jigga
Danny Heatley the final piece? Uh... yeah like he's ever lead anyone or anything except into the toilet. Another year, another first round exit for the Sharks. It's like clockwork, kind of like the Clippers making the NBA draft.I think you left out the word lottery. Lee.
I predict two weeks into the season before Heatley complains about his diminished role with the Senators, and wants out of San Jose because of it.Yes, I know exactly what I said. josh_cat_eyes
Sweet deal for the Sharks. Now they should trade Marleau for another winger to play with Thornton.

Brass
They leafs should trade Toskala, Van Ryn, and Finger too. Burke should go after 3 guys. Shea Weber, Brandon Sutter and Brayden Schenn. If you had any of those three guys (Weber, Sutter, Schenn) on your roster, would you trade them? Probably not. Burmy
OK, so the bidding is now closed for the Coyotes franchise...Balsillie bid the highest amount, but the creditors & city are for the NHL buying the team...Now it's all up to Judge Redfield T. Baum to decide the fate of he 'Yotes:http://www.arenadigest.com/news/index.html?article_id=557I'm kinda undecided here...I might support the NHL's bid if they're open to moving the team back and having them be the Winnipeg Jets again!(of course, with Balsillie's bid, the Hamilton Jets sounds like a very real possibility for the team)

Cujo
Dany Heatley has been sent to San Jose for Milan Michalek, Johnathan Cheechoo, and a 2nd round pick.I liked Edmonton's offer a lot better, but at this point I'll take this.Heatley is a little bitch for a number of reasons -- snubbing the Oilers is one.Enjoy your final attempt at reaching the Stanley Cup Final, San Jose. I hope you fail!
SenatorJake
I think that losing Heatley and replacing him with Cheechoo, Michalek and Kovalev who signed as a free agent makes the Sens a better team. I think adding Heatley to a line with Joe Thornton makes the Sharks a better team. Good moves by both organizations.

And I'd argue that this line is even better than that Sens line was.You got yourself a debate. Spezza is a pretty similar player to Thornton, they both put up similar numbers. Thornton does get the edge for the MVP year. Alfredsson is a much better player then Setogutchi, I mean Devin had one great year, so based on that one year compared to a consistent string of pretty good years that Alfie had, I'd give the edge to Alfie, but I think we'll both just end up being biased .
