I like this jersey. The panthers need an update, the logo is very 90's. The colors also remind me of the Palm Beach Atlantic University colors a bit.

Hey, at least it is not a recolor of the primary uniform!

What exactly is so "90's" about the Panthers current logo?

Aside from the crest,

MEH

Mainly because like the original post that I'm quoting pointed out, it looks too much like the Penguins current 3rd jersey. Really, the only thing that looks like time was put into was the crest, shoulder logo, & the bad decision to add light blue into their color scheme.

It bugs me that the panther's head is tan when nothing else is. If they changed the head to yellow and added a few red accents, this wouldn't be a bad looking jersey at all.

To paraphrase the TSN anchors this morning, "The Panthers couldn't think of their own third jersey, so they just stole one from someone else."

Maybe the Panthers hope that dressing up as the University of Maine would help them play like a legitimate team?

Do the "branding experts" at Reebok actually believe that no one will notice when they BS that this is a "unique identity not found elsewhere in sports"? Did they really require years of testing to come up with this? What a load of crap. Enough with this marketing spin. They took the Penguins throwback uniform and repackaged it.

I would like to think this is just a huge prank Reebok is playing on the Panthers.

Reebok rep: Ok, here's your new *snicker* unique third jersey. It's *snicker* a unique brand not found anywhere else in sports.

Panthers: Sweet! Thanks guys! We're totally gonna be the best dressed team in the league now!

Reebok rep: *snicker* No problem.

Reebok rep goes back to Reebok HQ

Reebok rep: They totally bought it! They're actually going to wear it against the Penguins!

Other Reebok guys: Awesome! High five! What a bunch of morons!

The funny part of is that someone already made one before you...on the previous page.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

Alas, I suck.

I choose to remove my headress as "Chief" of the WhyamISoLate Tribe and renounce my affiliation. I'm off to live next to Hank Hill and do things with Mrs. Gribble.

I like the blue, but only if they make more of an effort to go in that direction. As a third its out of place, but incoporate it in the Home and Away and I'm fine with it.

If this most overused color combination can be said to have any semiotic value left, it has a very cold feel to it. Even though it's ice hockey, the colors don't connote Miami. While red, gold, and navy weren't exactly Art Deco pastels, it still had enough of a vibrant feel to it that I could buy it as a representation of Florida. This says nothing about anything, other than "there were like seven or eight pro sports teams that did this and made a lot of money and God knows we could use some too."

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
