Thanks Donovan. Can anyone photoshop an ND jersey using Kelly Green instead of the darker version? And I just realized their coach is named Brian KELLY. How could they not be in kelly green?

Freakin' gorgeous. The white numbers work better too.

Everyone loves a roundel.

Missouri is wearing their "magical" gold pants with black jersey and helmet against Kansas in All White. I've never seen the white helmets before.

edit- This means special uniforms for the last years

2008-Missouri's gold jerseys

2009-Missouri's Beat Mode Pro Combats

2010-Kansas's all white

In 2009 kansas also wore their red alt jerseys and wore the jayhawk decal rather than the "ku" decal on their helmets.

2010 Rivalry - new lighter helmet, black tops, new lighter pants, white rivalry shoes

2010 Home - standard purple helmets, new pro combat purple top, new pro combat black pants, black shoes

2010 Away - standard purple helmets, new pro combat white top, new pro combat white pants, white rivalry shoes

Note: TCU will be wearing a new uniform for the bowl. I have heard Oregon may be as well.

Hoo boy, that's gonna be fun to put together. I assume Rivalry is their special 2010 Pro Combat, whereas Home and Away are their new uniforms based on the Pro Combat template, right?

I tried to be as accurate as possible even though most people interchange the terms. "Pro Combat" is the material. "Rivalry" is the design. Every uniform TCU wore this season was Nike Pro Combat. They wore 2010 Nike Pro Combat Rivalry uniforms vs. OSU and then mixed and matched some 2010 and 2009 rivalry stuff in with their new pro combat uniforms. The new home uniforms are the same template as the 2009 rivalry uniforms minus the the frogskin trim and with slightly different color-blocking on the away uniforms.

Yes, I'm aware that they're all the Pro Combat template. I'm asking whether or not it refers to the individual Pro Combats, i.e. the frogskin last year and the one they wore against Oregon State this year.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Again, pro combat isn't a template; it is the type of materials used. Every uniform TCU has worn this season has been pro combat material. Pro combat rivalry are the special designs that only a few select schools got (and, yes, TCU's rivalry is their special uniform from this season that has the frog skin which they wore vs. Oregon State).

Not trying to sounds like a jerk, so my apologies if I have; just trying to be as clear as possible.

I disagree.

Pro combat is most definitely the combination of materials and pattern/template as opposed to material only...you could also throw in the flywire as a component of the pro combat jersey as well...I'm pretty sure the materials are often referred to as dri fit or simply cordura nylon

And just to follow up, BYU did in fact go with all-white to Utah's all-red. But for the last few seconds of the game (and Utah's UA template), this was a great looking game.

4218750.jpg

It sure was a great looking game, Burton's block was a beauty :D

Just messin' with ya. I do agree from a uniform standpoint though that it looked very nice. I'll admit that BYU's all-white look is one of the best, and though I'm not a huge Under-Armour fan by any means, Utah does pull off the look alright.

I will say though, I'm hoping Utah goes a little more simple and classic soon, especially where they're going to the Pac-12 now. It doesn't have to be exteremely plain, but I thought the Utah look of the late 90's (It was similar to Fresno State, but with some differences) was one of, if not the best look in thier history.

You can disagree all you want, but you'd be wrong. Check the nike team catalog. The jerseys are sold as combat tops and pants. That is what TCU's regular home and away uniforms are (and Virginia's for example). Pro Combat Rilvary is the special exclusive uniforms deisgned by Nike for temas like TCU. Any team can buy nike combat uniforms. Not everyone get's nike combat rivalry unifroms.

There are pro combats that aren't rivalry (Virginia). There are no rivalry uniforms that are not pro combat, so there is a difference.

Colorwerx, can you post the textile colors for Oregon from before the winged uniforms and then post the ones for the winged uniforms, I swear the green changed. I think it may have changed again this year.

From what I saw of the TCU pics, looks like they might be the new Oregon Ducks.

You aren't far off. It isn't the coach's thing, but the recruits LOVE it.

I like the all-black the best.

my point being that the pro combat uniform (including generic and rivalry) has multiple components: fabrics, stitching patterns, cuts etc.

You forgot the part about the base layers.

Pay close attention, here...Pro Combat is a system of dress. Pro Combat itself is primarily comprised of a systematically padded top and bottom designed to go together (there's a basketball variant of this, too). What the common viewers see as "Pro Combat", as far as college football is concerned, is the specially-designed jersey, funky chickenwire and all, and the pants with that funny-shaped side panel. Those items (and the special-made gloves and cleats in this case) complete the "system" for football uniforms--and as guest23 mentioned, several programs' primary home and road uniforms are of this system of dress. It's just the special-designed "rivalry" sets most see as "Pro Combat".

For what it's worth, Nike's HyperElite System of Dress basketball uniforms also have this same base layer stuff--or "pro combat" material--up underneath.

So there you go.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁
