IceCap
Tigers field goal! National champs.Oregon 30, Auburn 10. Nick Fairley is great but Auburn's defense as a whole will not be able to stop Oregon's complicated and fast offense. So that didn't happen. dfwabel
The early thought about pace/number of plays which Oregon would run. Auburn ran 87 plays tonight to Oregon's 76. TOP was just five minutes apart.
TFoA
This game was nowhere near the level of the '03 Fiesta Bowl or the '05 Rose Bowl, but it was a fun game to watch. Congrats to Auburn for winning the title, & to Oregon for taking the new champs to the limit.lmao @ 30-10 Oregon though. Wow.

CS85
Anyone have a guess as to how many points Oregon left on the field by failing to score in the red zone? The playcalling on the drive that resulted in the safety was abysmal, not to mention the stupid penalty. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. RyanMcD29
The game's won by a field goal and they've still yet to interview the kicker. Hell, they didn't even show him celebrating after the kick, they went straight to Newton. Wow Twitter: @RyanMcD29
Kevin W.
I expect to hear Oregon fans whining about how Dyer's knee was somehow down and that run shouldn't count. I can't wait to hear the other excuses too. CS85
Oregon fans should have no excuses, their supposedly dynamic offense couldn't punch it in when it counted and Auburn made them pay. I can't even begin to wonder what that could possibly mean. Drakonius26
Well, I guess it's like how the old saying goes... if you look like s***, you play like s***, and Oregon was definitely that tonight. Congrats to Auburn and the SEC though, because despite the close score, they clearly were the better team tonight. Why do I get the feeling though, that if Oregon was the best that any non-BCS conference had to offer, that the SEC is about to embark on a NFC-esque streak of 10-straight national championships when it's all said and done. It wasn't even a downed wrist at that. More like a palm. 2) It about evens out though, considering that Oregon's last TD drive was spurred by a ref setting a screen for the Oregon rusher.
