BigEd76
Andre Johnson was fined $25K but will NOT be suspended. What a coincidence...his next game is on NFL NETWORK.
NEW.ERA
Hmm that is quite the conspiracy theory. Anything for Finnegan? JETS|PACK|JAYS|NUFC|BAMA|BOMBERS|RAPS|ORANJE|

TFoA
Honestly, if that was Andre's first offense (& knowing how the NFL/NHL/MLB treat fights like minor skirmishes, unlike the NBA who treats it like THUG LIFE RETURNZZZZZ), Johnson's punishment makes sense. Ol' Finn, on the other hand, might be sitting out. He's been in trouble before, he has a rep as one of the dirtiest players in the league, and was the instigator. He'll probably get a heavier fine, if not an outright ban. Then again, nothing's official just yet.
NJTank
Im glad Andre Johnson was not suspended. I don't recall him ever being in trouble before, and first time offense should mean something. However, Mr. Finneagan he's been fined already he needs a week off. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

Sometimes a guy like that just needs to get his ass kicked. Andre Johnson just happen to be the guy to deliver. No reason he should be suspended. In other circumstances, he probably should, but not this time.

Didn't Ochocinco get fined 30K last year wearing a sombrero on the sideline? BEAR DOWN ARIZONA!2013/14 Tanks Picks Champion

karmew32
The NFC West has had at least one of its teams win a playoff game 7 of 8 years since the realignment, and the lone exception (2003) had both of the division's qualifiers lose in overtime (Rams in 2OT). Plus, the past 5 years, only 1 NFC West team has qualified for the playoffs, and all of them won their first playoff game.

Although the 2004 win was divisional fratricide. That said, past history is rather irrelevant compared to the present./NFC West champion does get a home game though, that helps. cameroncrazie07
This game is actually embarrassing. And the sad thing is, even with losing this, the cards still have a shot at the division. The Core 4 Sports Podcast Twitter
Sport
How would you guys feel about a clause where a division winner must finish at least 8-8 to make the playoffs? If the best team in a division finishes 7-9 or worse then the next best wildcard team goes to the playoffs.

cameroncrazie07
Either one of those would work. I mean they don't really deserve to be in the playoffs. But the rest of their division sucks. The next best team is going to be some 9 or 10 win outfit at best that probably screwed the pooch at some point in the season in a winnable game, and you know what, if you want to go to the playoffs you should have let that poor dog be./Has no sympathy for teams that get boned by the limited number of wild cards and/or some other team locking everything up and resting its starters. A team with an 8-8 record winning a division has only happened twice. The Browns did it in '85 and according to the game tonight, the Chargers did it in 2008. That's twice since the merger right? Your plan would be a huge overreaction to something that has up to this point has never happened.

ninersdd
Anybody remember the South Park where the celebrity sex addicts were in counseling and their main sin was that they got caught? Well Derek Anderson and one of his O-lineman were smiling and laughing on the sideline in the 4th quarter while they were down by 18. During the press conference, a reporter asked him about it, and Anderson dodged the question and had a meltdown and stormed out. ESPN said it was simple: He got caught!
