So jokes.

Not all of them I say Tex and Granderson would be a great fit to the All-Star Game as they are having All-Star years, but the rest are just Yankee fans oversaturating the voting field

This is why they should do the MLB ASG like the Pro Bowl.

1/3 fans

1/3 players & coaches

1/3 media

Tex deserves a slot, Granderson too, and I would give a nod to Russell Martin.

HOwever Cano is not having a great year and Jeter and A-Rod look old.

I'm totally fine with Tex and Granderson.

Just sometimes fan voting goes too far and ruins the meaning of the All Star Game. Yeah I get it Yankee nation is a massive army spaning the entire world, but really I want to see the best of the best, not a bunch of pinstripe millionaires that are having subpar seasons.

That would have been so frustrating had the Giants lost. Two putrid calls by Tim Welke on first, one where he let Pujols walk when he swung halfway around the world, and another where he said Burriss on first had his foot off the bag when it wasn't. And then Wilson is in to close it in extra innings with one out left, the lights go out and we have a big delay. Of course once they came back on the game ended on the next pitch.

I think Schierholtz and Skip have justified being everyday players. The Giants like to give those veterans every last chance to get better, but Burrell needs to just be a pinch hitter. Pablo Sandoval's getting closer to returning, so there should be no reason for Tejada not to sit, either. Huff will keep getting the benefit of the doubt after his homer today, but Belt might take that first base spot.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

As a Red Sox fan, would you place the bid for Daisuke all over again? I don't think his signing was a complete bust, but he clearly wasn't as advertised. But I'm a Yankee fan, so I'm obviously biased.

A little off topic, but Yu Darvish is likely to be on the market after this season, hope the Yankees are in the bidding.

Eli Whiteside is making me want Bengie back BAD as well. And Tejada has no business being on ANY pro team at this point in his career. What an awful signing. But Nate Schierholtz may have won himself a starting job with the way he's been playing. Good for him, he's been patiently waiting on the bench for long enough, and so far this season he's been my favorite Giant.

Schierholtz is one of those "five tool players". He hits for average, hits for power, has speed, covers lots of ground in the outfield, and has a gun for an arm. A lot of fans and media types around here have said for the past few years that if he ever had a chance to put it all together, he could be something special.

Schierholtz is now getting that chance, and so far he appears to be heading in the right direction as far as fulfilling his potential.

Aubrey Huff: It gets better. And Jonathan Sanchez hit yet another double. So great seeing Major League pitchers hit like men. No wussy DHing like in the AL here.

Freddy Sanchez is absolutely out of his mind with his hitting, too. Showing why he was the batting champ a few years ago. The Pirates have given the Giants a lot of gifts recently.

With the way Tejada ran the bases today (well), I don't see Bochy sitting him anytime soon.
