ANGELS to wear throwbacks in '11

Once my 59Fifty even gets the slightest curve, I replace it. My hats are like my J's and Tim's. Mint condition or they become useless.

There is no one in the year 2011, after years upon years of intellectual evolution, that someone would say this. Sarcastic or serious, I refuse to believe someone one would actually say that. Wanna know why? Because if there were a just and loving God, he would lay waste upon that individual with his vengeful hammer.

Anyway... there are two, TWO, and only two stickers that should remain on a "fresh": 1.) The "Minor League Baseball Genuine Merchandise" hologram on the underside of the bill for all MiLB hats. 2.) The "MLB Authentic Collection" hologram on the underside of the bill for all MLB hats. Any other stickers make you look like a pretentious, pompous, ignorant, simpleton.

For the record, I don't flatten my bills for "fashion". I have always kept my bills flat since I was playing Hot Stove, and wore it flat through high school, into college, and I still wear them flat now. For me (and for most who actually played) its functionality over "fashion".

On second thought... Some of you should leave the stickers on the top of your bills. It helps identify the people that will be ringing me up at the mall.

That exact quote I highlighted in bold can easily sum your thought process as well....it's a 2-way door; remember that.

Yes, I replace my hats and shoes often, so what. Go ahead a label me all you want, I guarantee you're wrong. Besides my 2 current highly profitable businesses, I'm also a Master Sergeant in the active duty USAF, married, 2 beautiful little girls, have a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering degree from Southern Illinois University, and I'm an artist at heart (music, painting, drawing, and etc). I stay in the military not for the money and benefits, but because I'm proud of what I do. So if me wearing a flat brim hat w/ a sticker or anything else makes me an individual that "God should lay waste upon with his vengeful hammer" (wow, BTW) then you obviously are clueless to the world around you.

So go ahead and insult me all you want, I just sit back at laugh at it anyways.

I'm a chocolate cake-loving, Virgo. I enjoy photography and a good romantic comedy. I drive a Mazda 3 and enjoy a good road trip with the windows down and the radio up! I'm new to the online dating scene, but if you are willing to make a connection, message me!

I didn't mention my active duty obligations to gain sympathy. My point is that you can't judge a book by it's cover. If someone at the mall thinks I'm "lower-class" or an "idiot" because I'm wearing a rare Mitchell & Ness jersey or a brand new New Era cap with it's sticker still on....then that's poor judgement on them and it speaks volumes about that person as a whole.

On topic, I wear my hat pretty flat with no stickers, most of the time when I buy a hat I just put it on and wear it as it is. I don't bend it, basically it isn't about fashion it is about keeping your hat looking nice, if it is all bent up it no longer looks new.

As far as the whole blocking the sun argument, most of the time I wear a hat I'm at my house, in school, or in the mall. When I am outside I never think Oh wow I need to block the sun with my hat.

This really is a stupid argument, different ages and different demographics have different tastes so there is no point in arguing about how we wear hats.

Exactly my point and why I prefer to replace them.

I wear a hat nearly every day so I get what you mean, sorta. I can't say I toss them out when they get dirty, but I can at least see where you're coming from. When I buy a new 59Fifty I definitely try to keep it as nice as I can for as long as I can. I wear the newer caps to school, out with friends to the bars, ect. But when they get really dirty I do "replace" them in a sense in that those hats are shifted to things like backpacking trips, softball games, concerts, or anything else where large amounts of dirt and sweat are likely. From a fashion sense, wearing a dirty hat just isn't a good idea if you're trying to make an impression on someone. It's a bit easier now with the polyester caps because you can hand wash them into looking almost brand new, but it still screws with the structure a bit and softens up the bill to where it wont stay where you want it to. Nothing wrong with making those caps your "work" caps though because tossing them is an enormous waste.

And I absolutely cannot agree with you on how wearing a cap to block the sun is a stupid argument. That's exactly what they're made for and I've had countless times where wearing caps have saved me when I forget sunglasses/don't want to wear sunglasses, ect.

No no....I said that the whole point of a brim IS to block the sun. Both flat and curved work depending on many various factors. But a flat brim is also a fashionable way to wear a 59Fifty as well.

I assumed you mentioned it because 3/4 of your :censored:ing posts mentions it. I think we're all pretty aware of this so far.

Read the highlighted bold as to why. My point is the way an individual dresses at the mall doesn't reflect what they do, what they earn, and how they live.

"I assumed you mentioned it because 3/4 of your :censored:ing posts mentions it." Grow up.

And what exactly justified your rudeness? Is it because I like camo uni's and the sense I pride I feel when they do wear them? Yea, I do. So what. Again, grow up.

I disagree. I think they way people dress says a lot about the person. Just think when you see an emo kid with girl pants and giant holes in his ears. What does it say? To me, it says they probably won't work well in clothing, because they aren't sure the difference between male and female cuts, the giant holes in their ears tells me they probably make very rash decisions and don't think things through.

When I see someone with a sticker on their hat and pants around their knees, I think... well, they must be one of two things: 1.) A thief because its very obvious that retail stickers shouldn't be visible on clothing. That would be like buying socks or a shirt and leaving the tag on it. 2.) They must be one of those people who buy clothes, keep the tags on, wear them out, and then return them. Neither of which I would want working for me. When I see their pants around their knees I think they probably have terrible hygiene problems because the only reason to wear excessively baggy, excessively loose fitting clothes hanging under their ass is because they MUST have a massive rash or infection that causes severe irritation and bleeding if they wear normal, nice looking clothes.

I mean... I'm all about doing your own thing but whatever happened to going out and dressing nicely, dressing properly, dressing in clothes that fit, dressing in clothes that say Hey! He takes pride in himself? Somewhere in the 80's society took a terrible turn.

Both of you are so awful at message boarding.

I was unaware that there was a skill behind posting. Is there a study guide? Learn me to be better. (This wasn't intended to sound nearly as sarcastic as it did)

Personally, I wish they'd both transition over to water boarding.

I can see how my 2, now 3, posts on this thread of become so cumbersome.

haha...you know that this is going to be a BS poll though. I'll go out on a limb and say 80-90% of the people that use the CCSLC forums are middle-class caucasians. Yes, I will stereotype when I say this, but that group is almost always against hip-hop/urban fashions, so of course they will hate that style and call it "idiotic", "lower-class", and etc... :P

Wow what a steretype. It is not that middle class caucasians are "against" hip-hop/urban fashion, it is just not their fashion. That being, I have no problem with flat brim, wearing to the side or backwards, or having the hat match your sneakers, I just do not understand the sticker thing. A hat wearer will recognize the New Era cap from the competition almost 100% of the time. Again, it is someone else fashion not mine. BTW, all of my hats (230) have curved brims. When I was a kids, eons ago, having a hat with a "perfect" brim was the in thing back then.

I was just at Dodger Stadium a couple of weeks ago. I was shocked by how close it was to downtown LA. Now whether or not downtown is the "heart" is debatable, but Dodger Stadium's proximity is not.

Oh no those did kind of run together didn't they, I meant that arguing on how to wear a hat is stupid because we all have different style.

When I know i'm going to be outside I don't wear a new hat though I wear an older one like you said, which has naturally become a more curved bill to block the sun.
