lordsketor
Naps just hit a 3-Run HR to take a 4-0 Lead and methinks this series goes back to St Louis. Many thanks to Discrimihater for making the sig.

knnhrvy16
So...how about Derek "The 'Stache" Holland last night? What a game he threw, it shouldn't be forgotten that he threw a 2-hitter shutout. I was rooting for him to throw the complete game (would've been the first CG shutout since 1991, I believe) and was kind of bummed when Washington took him out in the 9th. But hey, I think a standing ovation from 50,000+, including Nolan Ryan and a former President, probably made up for 2/3 of an inning. GREAT performance. The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. If I am to express them, it is not to say you or anyone else is wrong, and certainly not to say that I am right. pmoehrin
Angels, you guys are dumb.If the Rangers do win, I hope Mike Napoli ends up being the World Series MVP. Just for the pure of it. Napoli is a good choice right now for Texas.I'd have to give it to him myself if the Rangers do indeed win. Given the year he's had he can make a halfway decent argument for being the best catcher in baseball. The biggest knock against him I'd say for that argument is that he doesen't play behind the plate full time, but if I have one game to win and I can only choose from players as they are now, I'm probably taking Mike Napoli as my catcher.Another big hit by Napoli to give the Rangers a 4-2 lead in the 8th which I'd say has to cement him as the WS MVP if the Rangers go on to win it. lordsketor
And Naps might be the World Series MVP if they hold on here and then win on Wednesday and they must win on wednedsay. Many thanks to Discrimihater for making the sig.
FiddySicks
Well, I don't see St. Louis winning two straight vs Texas, but anything is possible I guess. Great series so far. rams80
If I never see another sac bunt again it will be too goddamn soon. I think I figured out the mystery of why the Cardinals set an NL record for inning ending double play groundouts and this is a primary culprit. Cujo
Who is this Mike Napoli guy and where the heck did he come from?? This guy is freaking clutch!Congrats to Texas for making it further than the did last season. Just one (very tough) win away.
pmoehrin
Who is this Mike Napoli guy and where the heck did he come from?? This guy is freaking clutch!Dude may have been the best player in baseball from the all-star break on. .383 average with 18 home runs, 42 RBI's and an OPS of 1.171 in the second half of the season. For a guy who's primarily a catcher that is just beastly. As for the game itself I really gotta question the move to hit and run in the ninth inning. Forget the fact that Neftali Feliz is on the mound, your down by two, not one. The only thing you really stand to gain by doing that is avoiding the double play. For a guy who's primarily a catcher that is just beastly. All the more reason the Angels were smart to cut Napoli loose and hang on to the catcher who hit a hundred and seventy this season. What the hell were they thinking? Napoli had a monster second half and now he's tearing it up in the World Series. But hey, Mathis does a good job handling pitchers; which I suppose makes sense because he hits like one. Here's hoping Napoli gets the WS MVP.
