aawagner011
Didn't really see the need to start a new thread or bring the 2011 thread back from the grave...but did anyone ever notice how every single one of the Pro Combats last year had the shield shape at the neckline, except Stanford? They had a circle. Weird. I wonder why that was?
Kevin W.
I assume most schools just go with the shield and if a school wants to do something different, they can. ASU's PT-42 logo isn't on a shield. Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions) King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

ASU's PT-42 logo isn't on a shield. The reason I thought it was bizarre is because every other team involved in the PC Rivalry one-off series had the shield. ASU's was more of a full redesign which makes sense why they were different. Stanford is throwing me off, though.

nash61
How long has this Ducks logo been around? I don't remember seeing it before. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. deliver2david
How long has this Ducks logo been around? I don't remember seeing it before. As mentioned the skull version was special for that game but if you were wondering about the regular version of that logo, I believe it first came out in 2011 (someone correct me if I have that wrong) as part of their "Fighting Ducks" identity. But now Rutgers and others have it. Some teams have nothing there which looks weird since the fly wire doesn't connect in the middle.

knnhrvy16
Via HGI facebook pageI'm at a loss as to how designing the helmet to look scratched and worn was thought to be a good idea. What's next? A baseball team introducing caps with fabric that emulates the look of sweat marks? The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. If I am to express them, it is not to say you or anyone else is wrong, and certainly not to say that I am right.
