Worst Jet game memories.....

This is the worst thread ever. Also, your #9 needs to be #1.

/Waits as somebody comes out with the Worst Met game memories spinoff thread. 3-1 odds Tank starts it

That is true.

Big Ben was basically gifting that game to the Jets, and Doug Brien couldn't hit the net from 40 yards away, let alone between the uprights. Probably the worst 15-1 team in NFL history.

That Jets-Rams game in 2008 where the Jets had a 40-0 halftime lead.

2/7/2012, when the Jets got their own failure thread.

Its like talking with a therapist about trauma.... If your'e not a Jet fan you dont understand.

I'm a Chargers AND Clippers fan. I understand twice as much.

I'm a Chiefs, Rockies, Nuggets and Sharks fan, 136 years of existence, 1 championship (chiefs sb iv, 4 championships if you count afl championships) between the 4 teams and the only team besides the chiefs to appear in a championship was the 2007 Rockies run.

So, we all know how hard it is to be a fan but we don't all post futility threads.

P.S. At least we are both young, I'm 17, and have a lot of time to rejoice over championships!

What is it with Jets fans and dumb-ass threads?

Two years ago someone made a "JETS WIN" thread...for a divisional round victory. Fools was up in there celebrating like the world was going out of style...and the funny thing is the Jets AND their fans ended up getting grounded in Pittsurgh in the following week's conference championship game. And now this. (Now I know?or at least hope?this doesn't represent the whole of Jets fandom, but...still.)

This mess keeps up, and pretty soon we're gonna have to start calling Jetjacks the same way we call Clevejacks around here.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

You can count on your fingers the number of home games I've missed since 1990. In fact, I'll miss as many this year (I'm in San Diego until at least the end of the year), so I've seen it all. Mostly bad. I don't want to talk about it.

But one really random, non-obvious one that will always stick with me was from the 1996 season. The Jets finished 1-15, but they were coming off their first and only win @ Arizona followed by a bye, when New England came to town. I don't remember anything about the game other than one play late in the 4th with the Jets ahead when Bledsoe hit Ben Coates near the right sideline on 4th down but 2 yards or so short of the sticks around midfield. They marked him ahead of the sticks, giving them a first down and the eventual 31-27 win (I had to look the score up, I would've been 11 at the time). It was maybe the worst call I've (still) ever seen, with Phil Luckett and his coin toss/a Buffalo/NE Pass Interference call also in the running.

I found this on Wikipedia too:

Bledsoe completed a pass to Coates at the 50-yard line on 4th and 2. The Jets disputed the ball spot by line judge Charles Stewart (the ball spot was also roundly criticized by ESPN) but the first down call stood, and Bledsoe found Keith Byars for the game-winning score. A late Jets rally was stopped on an endzone interception by Lawyer Milloy for a 31-27 Patriots win.

However, this is one of the most pointless threads ever, as nobody really cares. Go post it on some lame Jets board.

Also, the Pats went onto the Super Bowl via the 2 seed. Had they lost this one, Buffalo would've won the east (yes, there really was a time that they used to be good) and the Pats would've been on the road Wild Card Weekend.

I love how this thread has become buffaloed into some random Winnipeg patchwork abomination.

Well it's not like the OP specified what 'Jet' he was talking about in the title...

I suppose since he didn't use the plural, he could have been referring to this guy...

That one time when Bill Belichick said "Hey guys I'm your new coa-OOPS NOW I'M NOT!"

I'd have to say the worst Jet Li movie was Lethal Weapon 4. Romeo Must Die is up there, too.
