I hope to god those don't become Vancouver's full time third's. Why they haven't made the current third the primary with a matching white is beyond me... That is one of the best looking jerseys in recent memory

Because the current third is horrible.

I think Vancouver's thirds are terrible. That hockey stick logo was lame in the 70s and its just as lame now in the 21st century.

Its not like the Orca jerseys are any better. Vancouver is one team that needs a makeover (in regards to a logo) in my opinion. As long as they keep the nice blue green combo as a color scheme.

The Catch of the Day!

Vancouver's thirds aren't that bad, but I don't see the point of them. The stripes are barely discernible from the regular uniforms, the V-head shoulder logo looks like Johnny Canuck is being decapitated, and IMO they use the two weakest logos in the Canucks' logo repertoire.

The Canucks uniforms are pretty good in idea and color but they fall apart when it came to stripe widths and logo choices. Here's how I'd make them the best in the league.

- match the stripes on the sleeves and hem to the stripes on the pants and socks. This is my #1 biggest pet peeve with these uniforms and it would be so easy to fix.

- Skating Johnny Canuck on the crest. No arched Vancouver over him.

- The orca C on the shoulders

- and if they want to, throw a white V onto the sleeve stripes, but I could take or leave that.

change the color of the Millionaires jersey from maroon to green and combine it with blue pants and helmets, and you will have one of the best sweaters in the league.

It's your own, but it references something from way back, and is a solid design overall. It would be beautiful.

I'll respect any opinion that you can defend.

I'll agree with you about the 70's version but not the new one. I think it's a great modernization making a previously bad logo into something decent. Nobody is going to confuse it for a masterpeice but I think it's boldness & simplicity matched with those great colours gives the Canucks a solid look.

I agree with you about the first point but that's about it. The full bodied Johnny Canuck logo is way too complex to be a primary logo and the orca has very little in common with it when it comes to the style in which it's rendered.

The skating Johnny Canuck is the worst logo ever to appear on a Canucks uniform, even if its just on the helmets. I hate that logo with the fire of 1000 suns and hope it never gets used again.

What's complex about a skating lumberjack and how is it any more complex than some other NHL primary logos? To your second point, fine put the current stick in rink on the shoulders if you wish.

Flying skate, beheaded johnny, stick in rink, orca C with radially Vancouver above it, and THAT'S the worst one? Give me a break, meat.

I hope the Blue Jackets beat you guys tonight for your silly uniform opinions. Oh right, morgo jumped Canucks ship.

The home and road jerseys are fine except for the primary logos and the lack of green in the collar. The thin blue stripes between the green and white on the alternate makes the design look muddled. If they replace the orca with the stick-in-rink and put Johnny Canuck on the shoulders of the primaries, plus add a green third with JC on the front and the V shoulder pattern from 85-89, they would look perfect.

The only logo the Canucks use that is truly awful is that stupid Stick-In-Rink logo. It's not even good enough to be called beer league.

Am I the only one who actually likes the Orca logo? Loose the Vancouver script, streamline the striping, maybe go with a new number font and you have a great look.

I'm with you, I think the orca logo is the best they've ever had. Don't like the coloration in the current set though.

Yeah, they could adjust the colors to match the rest of the jersey better. The Orca using navy and royal blue but not green makes no sense.

My thoughts exactly, though I don't really mind the numbers.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

I agree with a few of the points of both McCarthy(your Blue Jackets put up a good fight tonight) and Morgo. The skating Johnny Canuck should, without question, be the primary crest of the Canucks. It represents the history and heritage of the Canucks' name and by coincidence, the elements of Johnny's skates and white stick represent the elements of both the Stick 'n Rink and the Speeding Skate logos. Furthermore, the City of Vancouver was created by British Columbia's rich lumber industry, considering Johnny's profession. Here's more:

- the orca should be gone once and for all. Not even to be used on the shoulders.

- absolutely dislike the weak Agency FB font(I like calling it "Yaletown Yuppie font"). Time to return to the bold and legible block font with added green accents.

- green trimming should be added to the collar.

- Stick 'n Rink(both are timeless classics) would be the shoulder logo.

Speaking of the Stick 'n Rink, I would agree with Morgo. If Johnny wasn't going to be the primary, I would have no problem with promoting the current third as the home with a matching white version for the road, providing that the skating Johnny is on the shoulders. I like the Johnny V, but the skating version tells the bigger story. The Stick logo has a nice and clean simplicity to it and there is a better emphasis on the 'C' part.

My thoughts for a Canucks quick fix:

Full-body Johnny Canuck on home & road, with stick-in-rink on shoulders.

Stick-in-rink on the front for the alt, with the royal blue Millionaires crest on the shoulders.

LOVE the idea. Make sure the Millionaires crest has both the green and white borders and silver outlining as well.

Regardless of which logo the Canucks should go with, their main problem is that they have too many logos. Pick either the orca, Johnny, or the stick in rink logo and get rid of the rest. There is no need for three completely different logos.
