Immature team on the losing side. Missing too many elements and making really brainless mistakes. Heat/Spurs.

And Indiana will go quietly into the night, again thwarted by the evil on South Beach. It's a shame too, since that team seemed like the legit team to beat in the East, had the monster from the south never been assembled. Kind of wonder where they go from here.

I don't think they really go anywhere.

David West is the only key player on the team over the age of 30 and they came one game short of reaching the NBA Finals. The only weakness I see on this team is the lack of a true scorer. They have four very good offensive players in George, Hill, West and Hibbert but nobody they can really look to down the stretch of games with any sort of confidence. They may have to make a tough call down the road to correct that situation (ie. mortgaging their future or trading away one of those four players to get that big time scorer), but for now I would say stay put with the current squad they have.

Whether or not they are good enough to ever get to the Finals remains to be seen, but we have not heard the last from this team. That much is certain.

As for the Heat, they played like champions tonight. With the exception of the first quarter they played about as well as they could have hoped for. I didn't see any way Indiana could have won this game with the effort Miami put up tonight. LeBron once again showed why he's hands down the best basketball player on the planet right now. Nothing Indiana could have done to stop him on either end of the floor and his effort is the biggest reason why this game was so lopsided.

This weird love of Chris Andersen.

From tattooed freak, to child pornography, to Eastern Conference champion.....

I'm still unclear as to why this guy still gets praised by the fans.

The Pacers bench is awful. Augustin, Sam Young, Gerald Green, the Hansbrough Bros. are average/slightly below average/below average. Lance Stevenson is the only guy worth having, and he thinks he is First Team All-NBA.

The Pacers already used their Amnesty on James Posey, so Danny Grainger is still on the books for $14M next season.

David West is a UFA come July 1. So is Augustin, Tyler H. (team option),

Paul George is eligible for the "Designated Player" rookie scale contract designation, thus he can get the fifth year. Part of that available cap space from West, Psycho-T, Augistin will go to him in a Westbrook-like contract.

They need a player of the likes of a Jarrett Jack, but they may not have enough money for him this summer.

Well innocent until proven guilty, I dont think Bridman has been fromally charged yet. Though damn he is freaky looking, what the hell is wrong with him.

So 8 champions in 30 years.....

real fun league you guys got here.

Pro basketball is different than other pro sports. More than any other, a single or couple of dominant players can dramatically affect games. And given that groups of players tend to be around together for a few years, they tend to win titles in bunches. In fact, I'd say that more than any sport, NBA players are defined not just by winning a championship, but how many. Russell has an 11-2 edge over Chamberlain, Jordan 6-5 over Kobe, Shaq 4-4 tie with Duncan, and so on. Basketball is different.

Eh, between '76 and '90, only three NHL teams were champion, so it does happen elsewhere.

Pretty sure all charges against him were dropped.

From what I can piece together it was just some jealous former girlfriend trying pin something against him. Whether or not there was something to it I don't know, but he was cooperative with police and they didn't find anything on his computer, so to my knowledge there's nothing to go on here outside of a little birdy told me.

MIAMI—Following their 99-76 Game 7 loss in the Eastern Conference Finals, Indiana Pacers players confirmed Tuesday that they felt like complete idiots for believing in themselves and foolishly thinking that they ever had a chance against the Miami Heat. “It’s downright embarrassing that every player on this team was actually convinced we were good enough to beat a team loaded with NBA superstars,” said Pacers small forward Paul George, who apologized for getting pumped up by a speech from Indiana head coach Frank Vogel. “What the hell were we thinking? They have LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, and we have David West and George Hill. Nobody on this team has ever averaged more than 20 points a game. When I think about how confident we were during games, I can’t believe we acted so stupid. Deep down we should have believed with all our heart that we would fail.” At press time, George acknowledged that Indiana fans must have been “ :censored: ing delusional” to seriously believe in the Pacers.

Not to mention an entire conference getting shut out of Super Bowl championships for 13 straight years.

I stand by what I said.

All those leagues took measures to spread around things around.
