Flames trade a fourth rounder in 2015 for and then sign T.J. Galiardi.

Good deal.

Comes full circle. Born here, played midget, junior here, now plays for the big team on the block. Also the most famous alum from my high school.

I want to watch all the Rangers press conferences next year just to see Alain Vigenault when he gets confused because all the reporters begin to stop asking questions and move towards the door slowly after five minutes, because they've never been to one that lasted that long.

it's entirely possible someone will give Briere or Lecavalier another $25 million on top of their buyout money.

Bryzgalov is going to make $1,642,857 a year from now through 2027. Pronger is owed $12,150,000 over the next four years but will probably never play again. Because of these guys they traded Richards and Carter. I'd ask "how is Paul Holmgren still in charge" if I thought for a moment that Paul Holmgren was ever in charge.

I was off by 2.5! And it was from the team I just made fun of for having to pay Ilya Bryzgalov for 14 years! Hockey's the best.

Between Tampa and Philly, Lecavalier is going to make over $10 million in the next five years. Players make too much. Why must owners assume all the risks???

It's fun to tease the Flyers for their Al-Davisian management and orthodoxy, but "give up a ton and score a ton more" isn't the worst thing for us as fans in a league where all we seem to want to do nowadays is jerk off to any meathead who's 6'3"/240.

EDIT: the Carolina Hurricanes have $57 million committed to the cap with only 17 roster spots full how did this happen

Staal3

Well, and Semin.

Edit: Also, seems like Ballard will be bought out. Godspeed KB, you never got a chance here, and were totally misused.

*shrugs shoulders* I don't know anymore. Apparently defense and goaltending are overrated

Well if the playoffs are any indication the Penguins also fall under the "eggshell armed with hammer" category, so you should have some fun battles there.

Sorta justifying the Flyers move. Keep in mind that any of the Flyers could bust in to any fan's home, crap on their carpet, and the fan would do nothing except gush about how perfectly formed that crap is and how their honored to have Flyer poop in their home. Also, Paul Holmgren could screw a fan's wife in front of him and the fan would offer to rewax his hair after he finished, and then ask if Bernie Parent could have her next.

I mean it's not the worst move they could have made, and I think we're losing sight of the fact that after the one-year cap crunch, there's gonna be new TSN/CBC/possibly Rogers money coming in, and we'll be off to the races again. It's just getting fun to repeatedly ask the Flyers what the hell they're doing.
