College Football Uniforms - 2015 Season

Both Michigan State and Oregon look ugly to me tonight. M State needs to chose either bronze or black, and then, it should be gold instead of bronze. Contrasted by Oregon's bland black-and-white with a hint of yellow, it creates a bad matchup for me.

Nicholls State is opening their season tonight @ UL-Monroe. Even though we're outfitted in Adidas catalog unis, we've improved our look IMO. Added a gray stroke to the numerals and added "Nicholls" to the chest. Also switched back to the metallic painted shells versus the matte gray we went with last season.

Why is the shoulder stripe so small?

I'm definitely a homer, but I think these VT uniforms look sharp with this helmet. It might be the maroon facemask that makes it look so good. Usually the white helmets have white facemasks and that's a little too much white for me. But I'm digging this. I usually hate the one-time helmets we decide to throw on.

The more I see of Va Tech the more I like the brown and orange combo.

The all-whites remind me of classic Cleveland Browns.

If they can just lose the wacky helmet iterations I'd put Va Tech in the upper echelon of BCS uniforms.

Replace all of the black on Oregon's uniforms with green and they would have looked ten times better. It's just that simple. How do they not get that?

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Sorry if I missed it but is there a reason BYU is wearing white at home?

They announced a whiteout, not sure why, maybe because blue is so intrinsic to Boise State's identity, but Boise State cheekily announced a blackout in return (or maybe they had already planned it, who knows).

Thanks, I appreciate the response. Perhaps BYU should continue to roll with the whites after tonight's win.

When ASU wears their traditional colors, they look pretty good. The numbers are definitely kinda wonky, and while I get the rationale on the name font, I'm just not feeling it. But the new shoulder stripes look good moved down a bit. Overall, they almost look exactly the same as they did last year, and that's a good thing. Really happy they ditched the dumb ASU script on the sleeves.

The fork on the gold pants was a decent addition, too.

The answer is simple, the San Jose Sharks convinced them that smaller shoulder stripes reduce weight.

Has Nicholls alway had the sword facing forward on both sides? Looks different than normal. McNeese.....smh. And I like UIW's helmets. Just wish they would just put the Cardinal on both sides.

The Gators played East Carolina for the second time in nine months, and for the second time they barely survived...and for the second time they wore orange. However, this time they went orange on orange for the first time since the Emmitt Smith days.

Until I looked it up, I thought the whole 'monochrome' trend was only a few years old. Looks like that is not the case.

The only thing I really dislike about the all-orange look is that in the modern version, the helmet stripes and the pants stripes match, but the jersey sleeve stripes do not. Blue is supposed to be touching white. What's interesting, is if you look at the photo of Emmitt Smith, it appears in the 1980's, the helmet, pants, and jersey each had a different striping pattern altogether. So, I guess this is just how they've always done it. The truth is, the orange jerseys do not match anything else UF has because the blue and white jerseys and pants both correctly match the helmet striping pattern. It's just more noticeable in the monochrome look.

It's not a huge issue, but it's something I noticed.

It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." - Unknown | 🌐 Check out my articles on jerseys at Bacon Sports 🔗

It is a huge issue.. As some others have pointed out, Florida goes out of their way to keep the striping consistent with the 6 other pieces of their uniform (helmet, blue jersey, white jersey, blue pants, white pants, orange pants), but then fail to maintain continuity with the orange jersey.. There's no sense to it
