How the hell has nobody posted this yet?

Because ALL of their logos are associated with failure.

And due to their football and basketball postseason futility, NCAA investigations on USC and Arizona, and the UCLA incident in China since 2017-2018 academic year:

They lasted over 70 years and have been one of the most recognizable retailers on the planet. I wouldn't call that an association with failure.

Hopefully less controversial

Due to unfortunate events in Charlotte (namely, being the first #1 seed to lose in the 1st round):

As much as they are my favorite band, gotta post this. Only on 1 album, which is considered their worst.

Announced they're going out of business, taking so many beloved department store brands they bought (Carson's, Boston Store, Bergner's, Herberger's, Younkers and Elder-Beerman) down with them.

Yeah, that was a sad day when they announced that they were. Boston Store has been a downtown staple since before I was born. It's also going to be a very heavy blow to The Shops of Grand Avenue, which is pretty much a glorified food court with a TJ Maxx at the toher end from Boston Store.
