Doug Brien missed two game winning attempts last year for the Jets ... he never played for them again.

I say Feely stays because the season isn't over and he is actually a pretty decent kicker. If this were a scrub kicker like Jose Cortez, he'd have been cut 30 minutes ago.

If Jay Feely never plays another game in the NFL, i'll be fine with it.

Miss 1. It's ok, it happens.

Miss 2. We can't afford to give these guys more chances. You HAVE to make that.

Miss 3. Get Out.

How would you like to be a Goant right now blood sweat and tears for more then 60 minutes and you give your kicker 3 shots at the winning kikc and he misses all 3. Then you lose.

Well, the first miss clearly rattled him, and I'm sure the next two attempts from 40+ yards, and the ineffectiveness of the Giants to get in better position didn't help matters.

Knowing the Giants, they won't cut him because...

1.He is a decent kicker(up till now)

2.Tom Coughlin will yell at him this week ans he'll be fine.

3. He isn't a jerk with his team(Vanderjet)

4.The Giants have seen worse.(haha)

Nice try Feely(I guess) :D

I think you chalk it up to a bad day. A team with a bead on the playoffs shouldn't mess around with trying out kickers at the 3/4 turn of the regular season. Of course if he has another bad day, they might be forced to make a move.

Nah, I don't see Feely getting the ol' pink slip over this....

Now, Luke "False Start..77 Offense...5 yard penalty...repeat down" Petitgout...well, he might be looking for a new job after this season.
