The only thing I'd like to see is yellow socks on the black jerseys.

See, i wouldn't. And i'm a diehard Bruins fan. Sure they always had them, but it is soooo unbalanced. It works when there're the gold shoulders, but with the jersey like this it just doesn't look right.

Hmm... I always thought it looked better. Just my $0.02.

It looks like Boston is pretty well received, I am going to leave it as it is.

Buffalo Sabres

The Sabres took a huge step in the right direction this year with their new uniforms. However, I don't think they got it perfect. I removed the random piping, but left silver in places where I feel it works. The striping on the road jersey is more navy-heavy, as I feel the current road striping is too light with yellow in the middle. I also added the Buffalo wordmark to the inside of the collars. The alternate is basically the same as their 40th anniversary jersey, I cleaned up a few things here and there and made it use-able past this season.

I realize this one isn't anything too new, but I what love to hear your thoughts.

Very nice and simple. I'd rather see the "Buffalo" on the outside of the back collar, as opposed to the inside. I think it would look very sharp with that. Overall, though, fantastic job! All your concepts are very clean.

There's not much to say about this update to the Buffalo Sabres. I'm glad you name the alternate jersey's numbers normal, and although most of the concept's solid, the collars seem off. They look like they could do with a very thin trim of silver to match the home and away jerseys.

I would ditch the contrasting nameplate and make the name+numbers true white with no faux stitching. I cant really tell if there is faux stitching on the numbers due to the quality on my iPhone but if it's there then you should scrap it

I would get rid of the chest numbers.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Just out if curiosity, why does everyone hate front numbers in hockey? Is it just because they are "new" and most people aren't open to change? Or is their a real reason? This is the type of marketing stuff that interests me. Why do people like or dislike these things?

It clutters up the front.

When you take into account that there's already a big logo on the front, followed by a player's captain's C or A, and for some teams an anniversary, All Star Game, and/or Stanley Cup Finals patch, filling it up even more with redundant numbers on the front makes it a big mess.

Because they're unreadable from a distance, it clutters up the front like the above user said, and it just leaves 1 less space to put a Stanley cup final patch. Thats one reason why the sharks would be screwed if they ever make it to the final.

Calgary Flames

Goodbye piping color mess. I don't mind the current color scheme, but I have started to become tired of black. Here I use red, yellow, and white, with black only being used in the alternate jersey. The home and road are modernized versions of the Flames classic look. The alternate is based off of the pre-Edge set, combined with the current set. The heritage jersey is very similar to this year's Heritage Classic jersey.

love it all. I like how the white jersey came out. It's the slightest difference from what their original jersey is but looks amazing

Only things I would change are the pant stripes - make them like what they have now on that jersey with thick gold stripe outlined by white, and lose them entirely on your alt - and the nameplate on the alt really is hard to read in black. I'd make it white.
