The site says "Happy 20th Birthday, D-Backs", so it looks like they are celebrating the year they were granted a franchise, 1995, even though they didn't begin playing until '98. Their first year was 1998, the World Series was in 2001. Didn't think they would be going back to 1995. Kind of unusual. The idea of the original colors has been very popular on their facebook page, and elsewhere, and so I had hoped that just maybe, they were testing the waters.......
